I really enjoyed the information and I plan to go through them all one more time since I have a better understanding of what I am reading. I need a couple of more light bulbs to turn on. I need things to be semi-organized and I am putting together a temporary system that I should be able to build off from.

I'm not sure where to start. So here goes. Several years ago I purchased the PMI program and I have to confess that I did not follow through and I let the opportunity slip through my fingers. There were many excuses but my failure was not taking action; fear of the unknown and not utilizing the program. Once I gave up, I basically pushed my desire to do RE investing and ultimately- I had failed.

To the group, guy's aren't you glad "Dean's group and video blogs is really about real estate investing". I subscribe to a number of the Guru's web cast, so called blog's for lack of a better term. Every day I see the term "This is the latest and, This guy is my buddy so I know this is going to be the thing, or, this is much better than the $%#%^ I told you about yesterday". I'm tired of the lies and waste of my time and most of all my money. Don't get me wrong a lot of the information has merit. It's just that I find or have found that I/you have/had to spend X # of dollars on this one and that one.

I'm from Illinois,cragslist is a great page to go to,to find great deals,but in my area its far and between,so I started exploring other states,I was amazed on all they had to offer versus my state.Anyway I found a handyman special,3/2 after 6,000 in repair costs,it will have 20,500 in equity.I would rent it out. My question is can I make this happen living so far away?

This is my first post. I recently purchased Your Town and Profit From Real Estate and have been sort of reading both at once! I skip back and forth depending on what I don't understand and want to see if I can find more info in the other book. In the process of doing that, I have read through most of the success stories and am impressed with the techniques and all people who seem to be making money with this! I hope to be in a book one day myself!

After finally deciding to order Dean's "Profit From Real Estate Right Now" book, I could not wait to get it in my hands. The day the book arrived I was so excited to have something in my hands that I felt could really change my life.

Well I have finished "PFRERN" and I know that I will be successful at REI. I am working on completing the action steps as well as another Dean book, "Be a Real Estate Millionaire". In the mean time I am working to clearly understand real estate contracts and the closing process. I also visited a couple of open houses this past weekend. after the open houses I drove around looking for FSBO's, foreclosures and empty or distressed properties. I think I may have found a couple of gems.

I'm just starting, and have invested in both of Dean's books (PFREN and YTYP).

I currently work from home already, and have for quite awhile now. It's time to move to the next level in income, and of course, the uncertainty of starting with RE investing is overwhelming.

I have to start out earning finding fees for the first few deals, but plan to expand into leveraging capital beyond that.

Any tips will of course be welcome...and I will add to this journal as progress is made.

I'm in the process of creating my own Free Little Real Estate Website to post up my properties & stuff so Buyers & Others can see what I have & maybe I'll get some Buyers .
