OfflineAfter finally deciding to order Dean's "Profit From Real Estate Right Now" book, I could not wait to get it in my hands. The day the book arrived I was so excited to have something in my hands that I felt could really change my life.
Well I have finished "PFRERN" and I know that I will be successful at REI. I am working on completing the action steps as well as another Dean book, "Be a Real Estate Millionaire". In the mean time I am working to clearly understand real estate contracts and the closing process. I also visited a couple of open houses this past weekend. after the open houses I drove around looking for FSBO's, foreclosures and empty or distressed properties. I think I may have found a couple of gems.
So tonight I' will be doing some research on these properties. Im trying to build my knowledge of real estate, but also build myself confidence. I know that the more deals I do the more confident I will be. It stats with taking action and holding your self accountable, and both are things that i am determined to do.
I have read about so many amazining people and their incredible stories on DG.com. I want to be one of those stories. With my new tools and the help and inspiration from the amazing community of investors on this site, its only a matter of time.

In the last couple of days I have had some crazy things going on in my personal life. I have to admit that my confidence and myself was wavering. But, I signed in to DG.com, watched a few videos, read some forum topics and even had an email from another user who had read my first journal entry. The email really inspired me. The sender, like me recently completed one of Dean's REI books, and felt we had somethings to offer each other.
At the same time it made me realize that I have to just remain positive and continue to take action but, most importantly to seek help when I need it. I am new to this and this site can greatly improve my learning curve.
Thanks to everyone on this site for unknowingly providing some inspiration to an up-and-coming New York investor
