Investing Journals

I am 66 pages into Deans book and I am poised for take off. I've built 20 houses over the past 10 years, and am ready to bring myself to the next level. I have a great job in the building supplies industry, and am full of pea and vinegar. It seems like a lot of information to categorize and implement, but I am going to count on all of you for support and advice. I have some pretty good experience as well, so I will provide as much help from my end as I can to you all as well. I'm at the end of the diving board and truly ready to dive into the pool of opportunity. I am anticipating gaining access to an array of potentially great deals, and would like to start compiling lists of buyers, sellers, partners with cash in hand, etc.

***I know that this is the beginning of a multibillion dollar life style, if the human mind can conceive it the body can ACHIEVE IT!***

I have read Dean's book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now" ,and I have read about 10 chapters out of "Be A Real Estate Millionaire". I am pumped and I want to write this journal so that 10 months from now I can go back and read the posts of my frugal beginnings. I currently have a goal of making at least $50K profit from real estate investing in 10 months. I will take action and visit this site on a daily basis because there are some great teachers here on this site. Sooo to fast forward my activites thus far:

I am new to REI and i want to start sending emails and faxes of this letter to prospective re agents. However, in the letter he says he is looking to purchase 100 properties in 12-18 months. What is a realistic number someone as new as myself should put in that place? I would rather under promise and over deliver so any advice would be great, thanks.

i just enrolled this afternoon in the Success Academy. i'm very excited, yet very scared, to put it mildly. this is a big step for me. i tried it twice before with other people and was not pleased at all, but i've done more homework on the Success Academy and i like what i'm hearing and seeing. i've already worked with some really nice people and i truly believe this is the way to go for me. i am starting this journal so i can track my progress and get input from others as i move along in this journey. i posted a question on this site to see what kind of input i would get on enrolling in the Academy and that went very well. it was nice to hear from other students and know how they feel about the program.

What can a person say when there are such powerful people in ths world whom are willing to share with open hearts! Me, I am one of those kind of people who say's to himself: Boy am I lucky to one day meet the very people that I admire whom seem almost like super heros. M my point is that I am being so inspired that I am dancing on needles mentally because I am so close. Dean's super stardom is helping me where I want to be by helping others world-wide. There is a very prestigous ministry school in my neck of the woods and Dean is providing the means for me to attend without being concerned about tuition. Thank you for all the inspiration you all send my way, for truly I feel God's grace.

I am not along like some of you GREAT PEOPLE. But one thing I can say is thanks for consistantly inspiring me to achieve my much desired goals and objectives to becoming the Number #1 Real Estate Guru in my town. My mental preparation is the greatest key to my becoming a hitter home run king. Since I have studied real estate for so many years, I now possess the patience to let my success come to me while helping others achieve their aims as well. Well I thought I should start my daily journal so I can track my progress from day to day. This is a great way for me to see that I am doing something everyday to get closer to a successful REI career. Taking baby steps is still taking steps forward.

Today I finally typed out Matt Larson's letter to an RE agent. I will be emailing and faxing these tomorrow. I do have a question though, in matt's letter he talks about buying 100 properties in 12 to 18 months. What is a realistic expectation for someone new to REI like me. I would rather under promise and over deliver. If anyone can give me an idea that would be great.

After I locked up my first ever deal yesterday after 11 months of fighting back my fears, and after several hundreds of letters and postcards I sent out, my phone started to RING. Buyers who wants to view my one and only property for sale.

Ok, so we got Deans books "Profit from Real Estate Now !" and "Be a Real Estate Millionaire" last Spring--almost a year ago ! We joined the Success Academy last Fall (about 6 months ago). To make a long story short, we have been working our tails off and have definitely suffered from "information overload" at times. This is hard work, but we are loving it ! We have met many people over these months who are so willing to help us and share their knowledge that it is just incredible to us ! We have loved surrounding ourselves with "like minded people".

There are individuals whom may profit from my sharing, however as I type I direct this missive to anyone who may gain from my wording. Everything I type I am currently living and experiencing myself to the inner core of my being. Thank you Dean once again before I begin!
