Investing Journals

We all have a story to tell.

I just felt the urge to let my DG family know a little of my story so you don't feel as if your the only one who has gone through tough times. I just want people to know that things happen for a reason and your attitude can certainly determine your altitude.

About 2 1/2 years ago I lost my job and couldn't find work so we got behind on our bills and things were lokking bleak to say the least. My car was repossesed and my home was in preforeclosure. I was on the verge of divorce and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. But then I realized that I was playing the victim role instead of taking charge of my situation. So I made a mental change that I was gonna be a better provider for my family, a better husband and father, and a positive role model for my family.

MOTOVATION vs REALITY

Ok guys, I've been here for awhile, and I have read lots of posts that are amazing! I have also read so many motovational books in the last 2 years that have changed the way that I think about things. Something was (given) to me back in the 80s that I never acted upon untill my mindset changed. I REALLY CAN SEE MYSELF IN POSSISSION OF 9 MILLION DOLLARS. I am truly trying to be possitive, and I KNOW FOR SURE that this thing IS going to happen!

Angie and David's Investing Journey Journal :)

This is our first of what I anticipate to be many posts chronicling our adventures in real estate investing! Goodness knows, I didn't think it would ever be us.

We first saw Dean's infomercial many many moons ago! (maybe a year?) Thinking, wondering, and imagining, but not taking any action. But he never left our memory. Then, several weeks ago, ironically I bought the BARM book on Kindle (without his knowing), and David ordered BARM and the Right Now book after seeing the infomercial again (without my knowing). I love the way we think alike! Anyway, we sat down and decided that we were definitely, seriously going to pursue investing. And here we are.

whynotme journal

Hi DG Family..

Well here is my first journal entry. I've been busy getting started and I don't get much computer time to play with blogs and so forth....they're a bit intimidating to this stay at home mom. My husband and I purchased Dean's books on Christmas eve 2009. Read through both of them and then decided to join the success academy. What an exciting gift we purchased for each other! We've struggled our entire married life financially and "tried" many different "opportunities" along the way....I'm so glad we never stopped looking....We've found what we have always been searching for! We are done surviving! Get ready family for our new life!

Busy Working on Deals.....Storage Facilities, "Ka-ching"!

4-1-2010
Greetings All,
Wow...the past few weeks have been really interesting for me. As I continue my classroom studies with the Success Academy, I met two heavy duty wealthy investors along my journey. They are mentoring to me and boy have kept me busy. I have never learned so much in the past month about real estate investing! It is amazing to see people that have money buy and sell huge amounts of real estate. I mean prices in the millions. They are true investors in storage facilities. Well, this has truly been a blessing to have this association. My knowledge has certainly increased ten-fold.

Much success to everyone,

Peace and Blessings,

Find Yourself, Find Happiness

I know more than likely few will read this post. However, I feel compelled to share. I am so motivated by all the great people out there. I get off on reading how many people are doing so well in achieving their real estate objectives. However, this is not for the individual whom has has it so all together, but for the REI who believes they are "lost in the sauce". I am finding that so much of being successful in real estate has to do with starting with nothing and becoming fully focused by self initiative and going the extra-mile and going another mile and then many more miles to get where you need to be at regardless what so-called friends and family say to bring you down.

Helen's Journal

Hello DG family! I have not been very active in this forum until today. Today is the day I will begin driving down my road to success. I am tired of waking up early in the morning everyday, leaving my son to go to a job to get a measly pay check every two weeks. i want to take control of my future and i am finally going to do it, no excuses.
i will make it my business to do something everyday, weather it is updating my website, posting classified ads, networking, whatever. i am determined to change my life and buy back my time.

I Love this Site

I just absolutely love the wealth of knowledge and know how that can be found on this site. I have only been here for a month and I already feel like the knowledge I have received from everyone on this site would take the average person months or even years to learn. I just want to say thanks to Dean and all the incredible people on this site who constantly drive me to become a successful REI investor, husband, and father. "God gives worms to all the birds, he just doesn't put them in the nest." Best wishes and happy hunting.
