Hello everyone. I actually bought Dean's book a little over a year ago and read part way through it. Now I am completing it and plan to read through a second time. I already know I will be starting out by doing assignments due to various reasons. Some of this is really starting to click, but I don't quite have all the pieces put together yet. I will not stop as the thought of getting a $10,000 finders fee or maybe $15,000, even $5,000 would be an awesome start. Right now I split my time reading what's out here on DG and reading Profit from Real Estate Right Now!

whynotme journal just tell the truth!
April 16th, 2010 | posted by whynotmeHere's a quick update on our journey....I finally found a great agent (on a friends referral) and met with him in person this week! WOW! I was nervous about meeting a "professional" and kept thinking what do I say to him, how do I present myself....I kept reading and hearing...just be yourself and tell the truth....so I did. We ended up just talking about our lives...our dreams....our misconceptions....everything....I gave it all up...we ended up talking for over 2 hours!

April 11th, 2010 | posted by pipelineFor those other newbie's... & all who could use a good story, please see my recent topic, "Something from Nothing". It tell's of my first RE deal circ 1986 & the very interesting results that came about that stunned me! In the last 5 yrs. since getting married my wife & I have bought on time, 10 small lot's & acreage properties(all raw land w/ legal access) & have all but 1 paid off. The largest of these being 2, 160 acre each Gold Minning claims next to the Kern River.....this is a great area w/ good claims going back as far as 1850, unbeleavable as it seems it's well documented that "The" "Grizzly-Adams" once roamed those same cyns. suppling meat to the miners. The main strike was a gold/quartz vein on the surface 2 feet wide & 800 feet long!

When I put the offer in :D
April 11th, 2010 | posted by Zion Propertiesdo I put my personal name as the buyer (of course with &/or assigns) or my LLC? Maybe this is somewhere, but I want to get an offer lined up, and want to make sure to have that part correct. THanks!
I get the best responses in this forum, that's why I put it here.
Johnnym66's journal
April 10th, 2010 | posted by Johnnym66MY deals are no big deal yet. I finally got to look with an agent at my first forclosure this afternoon and it was a learning experience, if nothing else. I picked it out of the list of forclosures that this agent has been sending me over the last few weeks because the amount they are asking for it was so much less than the Total view site's estimated value. I now know why. The agent and I both saw it for the first time together. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and like i've read numerous times, you want to get the worst house in a nice neighborhood, this fills the bill to a tee. When I pulled up, I noticed that both the main roof and the garage roof had tarps over them. The inside was worse. It made Alcatraz look like a palace!
Need constructive criticism and critiques of my draft business card :)
April 8th, 2010 | posted by Zion PropertiesOk, I need some honest opinions and suggestions. This is my template, all the lines and dots aren't actually on the card. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated. I did the logo and cards on my own, so any ideas on adding professionalism would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance DG family!
Can an INTROVERT like me actually be good at networking?
April 8th, 2010 | posted by Zion PropertiesSo, I started going over my networking list portion of the success academy and how 60% of your business comes from networking. The lesson goes on and talks about going to a networking event to meet people and going up and talking to strangers. ***GULP*** Now, if I talk with someone first online it isn't so bad; but COLD CUT talking to strangers in person scares the heck out of me!
The Quest
April 7th, 2010 | posted by grantHello to all. I'm brand new here and just from the nightly browsing and (beginning to be obsession), I can tell this is a family I want to be involved with.
Well, as I embark on this journey of my life, I'm nervous and excited. I MUST turn my life around....here's my story so far.
