Investing Journals

Well I see I haven't been keeping myself accountable for all the updates I've been needing to post but I'm working on it. It might just be the excitement and motivation that's keeps me busy with everything and I start to lose track of time!

Well for the past two weeks I have been posting ads for investor buyers on CL, Backpage.com and several other free classified ad sites. Have gotten about 11 investor buyers so far but only problem is that they haven't given me any information for property criteria etc. (??????)

Hello DG family,

1/10/11. Today I officaily start my journals of my journey towards financial freedom. The reason why I'm doing this is because I know that I need some accountability in my investing life. And I need to be more open about my dreams and goals to like minded people. Well, I would like to begin my journey by sharing my destination; it's kind of hard to begin a journey when you don't know where you want to go, right? So here is my long term goals. (five year goals)

To payoff all credit card debts of $15,000.00 by Nov. 2012
To pay for my daughters college tuition.
To quit my job as a bus operator by July, 2016. (4,500.00 monthly income)

Hey everyone. I just got back from a 3-day workshop and I'm ready to get started. I learned so much, and now its time for me to put that into action. I understand the strategies, but I might need a little help. I plan to do my first deal in Louisiana, so if anyone knows an investor who likes this state, send me a pm. Also, any advice, or experiences would be helpful. I know that I'll make some mistakes getting there, I'll just learn from them. I'm building my buyers list then going talk to some homeowners. Has anyone used the contracts/forms that are on this site? What you think of them? Well just let me know!

I started taking courses to get into real estate investing over a year ago but it wasn't until we came across Dean's program that things started to happen. I'm working diligently on my buyers list and my goal is to wrap up my first deal by mid February. I signed up for a 1 year mentorship with Dean and we are attending the Edge Buying Summit in Vegas next month. I'm looking forward to meeting Dean and his associates.

I've been wanting to start a Journal for quite a while and today I am reaching a plateau of success by starting it. To begin It's been two years since I first bought Dean's book after watching his ad on late night TV. I had purchased a few other programs about real estate investing with no success but a lot of money and effort. I felt burned. When I saw his ad I thought "what have I got to lose. It's only $25." So even though I've moved slowly I have continually taken little steps with Dean's program and the first rehab is about to go on the market. whew.

Next entry - my back ground and what I've had to overcome.

Ok, I am almost done with Dean's book "Be a Real Estate Millionaire", I have cut most if not all the negative things/people out of my life, I am now a real estate agent in New Jersey, and I have good credit. Now I am missing a steady income I will stay positive, but I have been trying to do this on my own for years with minor success. I think I need MENTOR! Has anyone in my situation worked with a mentor and have you had any real success??

Today is a good day I pick up two more buyer and The house I been work on the own email me. She want to talk about the owner finiacal again. If some of my family member on DG work with Notes I have a buyer looking for some in NJ, CA around $10mil. Let Talk

I have had the worst luck in the last week. From trying to find a job in AZ, to over-contacting 3 people in the investing business (and scaring them) to not contact me ever again. I feel so bad, too. How can I fix this?

I guess I am nervous about talking to sellers, any potential buyers, and really trying to get 1 deal done or a job since I have bills to pay along with child support. I know this isn't the typical positive journal entry, or a positive one, but It should get better. Thank you for listening to me. I shall continue with updates, hopefully positive as I am feeling a little in the gutters recently.
