Newbie

Hello everyone this is my first entry of my journal so I wanted to jump right in and get started. I start reading tonight the two books I just ordered Profit from Real Estate Right Now and Real Estate Millionare. I will try and keep posting how my reading goes at least once a week. Any comments or advice is great.

First offers going out!

Wow! We (myself and my partner Arthur) spent all weekend viewing the 2009 Edge DVD's. What an unbelievable amount of valuable information! Now more than ever we feel prepared to jump in all of the way. Our coach has been amazing getting us going and now this is it....we have our first 10 offers going out tomorrow and are working on another 8. We are so excited to finally take action. Our goal is to have our first deal done in two weeks. Aggressive, yes, but you have to aim high and I am confident we can do it. Wish us luck!

Susan's Journal of a REI Newbie

Wow! It has been a busy week! I received 2 of Dean's books: Profit From Real Estate Right Now! and Your Town Your Real Estate Profits! and finished the first. I am almost finished with the second (90%). Then, on Wednesday, I got a call from the Success Academy, and much to my surprise, I accepted the offer to allow them to help me along.

I think the offer came just in time as I was so pumped up about becoming an REI I had been looking at purchasing properties in the $500 - $2000 range in Pontiac, MI which is about 30 minutes away from my house in Oxford. I just wanted to get started!

I didn't realize that I could post information about your business and your day's work here until my good friend and business colleague Gorgeous Frazier who is also a DG member told me about it. I was told to just talk about my day so here goes. Well, I slept late today and my day didn't really get started until around 11AM which is when I started focusing my day using a basic Yellow pad, a strategy I learned from one of Dean's videos. Pretty cool. I acually had a solid list of tasks that I starred with 5 stars being the most necessary tasks of the day. I realized when I finished my day how much work I got done.

Yesterday I got the business cards, the .usapropertywholesale.com web site completed, the phone message and phone number for a magic jack to all coinside together. We are going to go answering machine with my husbands wonderful Australian Accent until we start to get innovate. Now I have to figure out how to get the web site on goggle, yahoo etc. I just heard about another site called fillmyproperty.com so I will look into that as well. If any one has any tips on my quest for today or how to set up an auto response for the future to send out emails to the people on our lists, let me know please. also I got a good idea from another property video person. When you make an offer, try to get that persons email to put on the auto respond list. Then they may contact you when things go a rye.

What should I buy first

I'm finally able to purchase one of Dean's products but where should I start? Purchase the book for $19.99 or the Think A Little Different in Real Estate course for $35.95. I understand that they are different in price but if I purchase the Think A Little Different in Real Estate course will it also cover the content that's in the book?

My very first journal and feeling overwhelmed!!

I received Dean's books about three weeks ago, and now I'm trying to figure out the first step I need to take.

After I read the books I felt amazing, almost as if I could accomplish anything in the world. But when I try to apply myself, I freeze up and don't know where or how to start. I have a lot of ambition and drive, but I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts. The book offers so many different strategies that I guess I'm just feeling overwhelmed. HELP!

We are one of those who got the books last fall, read them, joined the academy and did nothing. Well, I read and gathered information,..When I had time. But you know the saying, "No Body has Time, You Have to Make Time." We went to the edge 2010 with the intent to come home and finally get to it. But we didn't! "You can make excuses or you can make money, but you can't make both." So I won't tell you my reasons. Although I think they are very good. The scary thing is, we quite our business and moved to a new city last winter and we have focused so much on getting things done around here, that we are now a bit panicked about getting some deals done. ASAP! Why? Because the savings is running low. Gulp!

self-directed IRA

Hello dg family,can I put my money into a self-directed IRA,and get it out to invest in a property without getting pentalized,also is it better to go through a bank or a hard money lender,where can I find a hml,I might invest in a property across the street where I live,its cheap but needs alot of work,I'm not giving you details yet,I did that before and the deal fell through,if it goes through I will give the DG family details,I just need some input on getting some money,Thank you!
