I am new to REI and I read Dean's book and I am excited to get started. I have been doing research and since I can't afford the classes I have to go by the book. I spoke to a REA and he has been sending me lists of homes for sale and so I worked out offers on some of the houses and decited to meet with him to see about making some offers, well needless to say (being new) I was embarresed because I could not respond to his questions. I had to walk out of his office after about a half hour of listening to him. He basically said he would not make any of my offers that low because no one would go for it especially the banks. I guess I need to do a little more research and be more prepared next time. I am going to meet with another REA tomorrow.

April 22nd, 2011 | posted by mrsmarissa237hi,
am just getting started. This last year, talked with 3 to 4 FSBO property owners, before taking the dg seminar. Talked with FSBO the other day, they have so little to go on. Called a realtor in his area for confirmation, have to take it slow because of his age. I really look forward to owning this investment property, building a team, am making this a success.
frank's journal (little frustrated but never giving up)
April 21st, 2011 | posted by hookncookIm starting to feel less like a real estate investor and more like a real estate investor information junkie. I read get excited and think . And thats all I do basically . I have put many offers on reos with no deals yet but anyone can do that . Most sucessful investors will always tell you take action. Even the great mike collins who has been wholesaling for over 30 years once wrote " you dont have to get it right you just have to get it going " . But you know what ?
Bahney's Journal
April 21st, 2011 | posted by bahneyMy husband and I just started the Success Academy a couple of weeks ago. The night we signed up I was so excited that I sent a few PM's to some students we met at EDGE 2010. Now we'll share our journey here.
Real Estate has been an interest of ours for many years. About 9 years ago we signed up for similar programs but, feel we weren't ready to move ahead raising our two small children.
Since then life has given us more experience and we feel more ready to invest now! I guess it's better now than never. I have always been a shy person and feel by writing here it will help us gain more confidence.

Is it best to deal with FSBO or Real Esate Agents
April 18th, 2011 | posted by blaze1022When assigning contracts is it better to deal with agents or fsbo. Is there a difference with the contracts I will need? Also when I have a seller, do I tell them my intentions to assign the property? When I find a buyer do I tell them what my intentions are? Can somebody please help, I dont want to make a fool of myself.

Weekly Video Support
April 15th, 2011 | posted by indancoI must admit that if these weekly videos did not keep popping up in my email, I probably would not have gotten started with seriousness and intention of purpose.
Thanks Dean
It was and is difficult, but the support has gotten me on here to start pursuing this avenue whole heartedly.
Getting Started
April 15th, 2011 | posted by indancoI recently purchased Dean's Book. I have been considering it for quite some time. Then, one Saturday morning, I saw them promo and I jumped in. I have watched the videos, and started reading through the material a bit here and there in each of the publications.
After analyzing the wealth and diversity of the material, I decided to rearrange my daily habits and patterns to accommodate the new activities that are undoubtedly going to be necessary for me to succeed.
I am under a lot of pressure to get something done and soon, but worry and irrational behavior will not help.
It has taken me a month to get reorganize my life. Things are still tight and the need for a change is more urgent than ever.
