Started this journey on the 11th. Read up to chapter eight so far. Realizing this is not as hard as I first thought. I think it's just trying to keep up with pushing back the fear of failure. This is somewhat a challenge when you have been financially devistated. But I know in my heart I can and will do this! I feel success just a small step ahead of me.

And it's happening in such a short time, since I hooked up with every one here! This journal area is such a great idea. Look at what's happened so quickly:

Decided I was going to get off the stick an do some real estate investing, despite what I didn't know. Had read alot online, and was vaguely focused on what exactly I was going to do, but I knew I had to break the ice somehow. So what do I do first?

May 17th, 2009 | posted by RaniaHi everybody
First of all I would like to thank everybody here for all the support you give. I ordered Deans book "Profit from RE right now" a few weeks back and I just finished reading it. I can't tell you how great his book is and it has motivated me even more. I have been interested in RE for quite some time now but I didn't how to do it.

Lloyd's Journal
May 14th, 2009 | posted by lloydsapWell, after returning from "Gain the EDGE" conference, i've finally decided that i starts my journal. I'm not much of a writer, but i feel, in order for me to move on and make some progress in my real estate investing, i need to hold myself accountable for my time and what i do every day. So, starting today, i was up at 5AM. Went to the gym from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM. I went work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, at 10:00 AM this morning, i left my office and went to the courthouse for a Tax Sales.

Hello one and all,
I have read the books and am still in the planning and establishing phase. Information overload for a new person like me. I'm taking the baby steps each day and moving forward.
I am a veteran and am thinking of ways to use my VA loan to get my first property initially. Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of using this to start with?
I'm located in So. Cal. (Inland Empire) and am excited at all of the possibilities that are available right now! I look forward to an exciting and rewarding new future.

May 14th, 2009 | posted by HisChosenWow, everyone, where do I start?
I first bought Dean's BARM book I guess it was April of 2008. (I don't think we even had this website yet!) I read the book like it had a timer to self-destruct! I tried to invest as much time as I could into RE, but my full-time job and family responsibilities kept me from really diving in.
