what is your why?

Just spending some time with the extended family and sharing my vision of real estate investing. Spoke with some family about funding some investment opportunities. So far I have gotten positive feed back.

I also think its important we don't lose sight of who we are doing this for. My mother is about 10 years away from retirement and has nothing saved. I am her retirement plan and that is fine by me. That's why I have to make this work. What is your why? Is it worth taking rejection for, is it worth fighting for, is it worth doing whatever it takes. Mine is, yours should be too. I once had someone tell me your why should make you cry. Does yours?

Hello all,
Blessings to all of you and I am so excited to be in the midst of such a wonderful network of people. To start, I guess I'll mention what I've done since becoming a DG.com member.

I figured the best way to take the bull by the horns with no experience investing is the Success Academy, so I joined the Coaching Program and had my first meeting with Diane on Monday.

She advised me of some wonderful organization tips, one of which was getting a tax id #. I thought this process would be costly and time consuming, but it was free and very quick(about 5-10 mins irs.gov). The next day(Wednesday) I opened my business bank account and received my business debit card(yay!!) I then purchased my toll free # and my business cards which are on the way.

Here goes my FIRST journal success post / acheivment

I bought the books: Achievement #1
Registering with Deans success academy on Wed March 17th: short term goal

Write the Vision

Hmmm..The Vision, as I take note of Habakkuk 2:2, I see the vision clearly and now I write. Perhaps I should say that I see the outcome and now I have an idea of how to proceed.

I have 25 foreclosures that I want to put in offers....do I verbally make the offer or submit an LOI?

Whew! Okay, I've run the numbers on 25 foreclosures and want to put in offers on all of them. How? Verbally or submit an LOI.

Our Real Estate Challenges

Well we've run into a road block. We're trying to build a sellers list and we've placed a few flyers around (not many bulletin boards in our area) and we have an ad in the paper and STILL have not received any calls. This is 3 days now. We've made up some bandit signs and are going to put them up on Friday (per Greg Murphy's video).

Anyone have any suggestions on how to generate some calls?

Is Assigning Contract Illegal

I was told by someone that a person that is finding a seller and finding a buyer and taking a portion for the assigning the contract was illegal. They advised me thats what Realtors do. Otherwise there would be no purpose of realtors.. Is this true?
