F.E.A.R.

I finally took action on everything I have been studying for almost a year now. It's amazing, nothing happens when you don't DO no matter how much you study. As Dean says "knowledge plus action", well I was missing the action portion of that. I kept thinking that I had to learn more before I could start. Well two days ago I finally put 2 ads on craigslist and by the end of the next day I had 2 calls and 1 email for tenant buyers. Looked through craigslist for homes and think after only an hour of looking that I have found a match. The deal is far from done, but am very excited about how fast it's already moving with just a little action. Amazing how I was letting fear of failure keep me from starting.

Santafegal's Journal - Day #1 Sunday

OK, in order for me to begin this journal, I have to remind myself how it has started.

In March 2009 I was told that I would not be receiving a contract for next year - I had lost my job. Sometime after that, I was lying in bed, incredibly sad and I saw the info-mercial for Dean's book, Profiting from Real Estate Now. I ordered the book and when it arrived, I started reading it with enthusiasm but soon I became distracted trying to find a secure traditional job, and the book lay untouched.

Well, it's been almost 2 years, and I still don't have a job, so I'm taking the leap to at least start this journal. I want to be free of the worry, the stress of not having a job, and have the money to enjoy life again.

I'm going to make a e-mail page on finding a real estate agent just like Matt did,should get alot of calls,but I dont have money,no buyers, they will ask how will I purchase the properties,what should I tell them?One more question,can I lock up a property on contract,with paying the earnest money after I find a buyer,if I cant find a buyer in the time frame,we just both walk away, right?

Well here I am. I have decided that 2 years hiatus is long enough. I became frustrated because I am Canadian and some of the forms and documents do not work the same here. Well, I need to find a way that it does work and it is today that I am starting my journey.

I know there has to be a way. It cannot be limited to just the States. ( Can It? ) Anyway, I will keep you posted.
