Hello all my fellow REI peeps!
I want my 1st blog to tell you all a little about
myself and then we will get to the goals.
I am a Realtor...a wife...a mom to 4 boys...a daughter...and a friend to many. That being said you
can see where time is limited.
Things I like to do...anything someone tells me I cant lol. All tho this is true about me I like just about
everything BUT paperwork and reading.
My brain works in weird ways...I love turning everything into a game. Setting small goals and reaching them is winning the game. When your a kid and

Mickey & Mallory's Journey to Financial Freedom

I really hadn't planned on starting a journal, especially considering we dont know what we're doing yet (lol), but after reading a few members journals, most of which hadn't started yet, I now understand the importance. Let me start off by saying my husband & I are totally new to REI, although we're in the process of getting our real estate licenses. I'm 23 & he's 26 yo, just married, & we want to start securing our & our family's future. We both come from two amazing hardworking mothers who always managed to provide for us. The problem is most hardworking people dont usually receive the financial compensation they deserve & they spend their whole lives just barely getting by. Of course our parents told us "go to college" but college doesnt guarantee anything anymore.

cash for 25/1 investing

I have submitted offers for properties using info from
one of DG's trainings. I'm just wodering what is the usual amount of earnest money put out? When and how do you pay it? Where is it supposed to come from? Realtor wants contract stating he is working for you, can you sign with more than 1 realtor at a time?

I also need the cash buyers. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Endurance pays off nicely.

I want to post this deal because it really shows that endurance pays off. About December 2010 I found this house vacant and with some code violation on it. I did my research and found that it belonged to an out of state owner. I pulled the information from the tax records and sent them a letter advising the owner that I would be interested in purchasing this home. I was just starting out and I really didn’t know what I was doing but I bought Deans book “ Be a real-estate millionaire” and less that 30 days from that I had purchase a house and sold it in 16 days making $12,500.00 so I was pumped, I was looking for my next deal.

House in Beverly Hills, Fl?

A few days ago someone started a thread that they had a house in Beverly Hills, Fl for sale. They were offering 2K for anyone who brought them a buyer.

Does anyone know who this person is. I would like to make contact I believe I can help them sell this place.

If they would respond to this or PM me I would really appreciate it.

Gene.

The Williams' Road from Rags to Riches

Hi. My name is Renee. My husband and I first got acquainted with DG on March 1st of this year at a local seminar. We were intrigued to say the least, and attended a 3-day workshop the following weekend. Ever since then, we have been reading and studying much but have been lacking in the action department. We have so much literature and cd/dvds and its like a sea of information. We get overwhelmed. We discussed it and decided that it was time to change that. So, here goes the journal. I figure this will help us stay accountable and help us to see where we are lacking, what works for us, where we could improve, and pick up some great tips along the way!

2 Weeks In

Ok, coming to you live from the SF CA public library computer.. Still no laptop but My "Progress" since week 1 is interesting. I spoke with my 1st seller and bommed badly. But as Dean himself put it, at least I know now what NOT to say and do. Its probably funny to experienced investors but I have sinced gained more confidence using email to feel things out before speaking directly. As a result I'm gaining more confidence. Buyers! I'm proud to say I now have

22 on my buyers list now. I only had 1 last week.
2 Transactional Lenders
2 Title companies that will do double closings
1 list of foreclosures in all sourounding counties
( I gotta learn what to do with it) but I think its good..
to finish later.///

Daniels investing journal

I decided to start an investing journal after reading many of the great journals here. I plan to give weekly (or mo re often) updates on my progress. I hope to make this an entertaining journal filled with stories of profitable deals. I recently attended a 3 day insiders edge workshop.

I am about to turn 30, and I am excited to get going in RE investing. I really like it is something that I am cut out for and will truly enjoy. I'm located in the Portland/Vancouver area in the Pacific northwest.

I've worked in the RE appraisal business in the past, and while it was a good job it just wasn't what I wanted to do for my whole life. I have bigger plans and bigger dreams.

Achieving My Dream

Hello. I've been reading these forums for well over a year...dreaming about being successful in the real estate industry. Like many, my funds are tight and the collectors are looming. My fiance suffered a back injury and no longer to work, so now everything's on me. Don't get me wrong, I'll work until my fingers falls off to support my girls and my fiance but it's just time for a change. So, rather than sulk, I decided to move forward. I've been working with an investor/rehabber for several months as an apprentice in order to gain knowledge without risk. He was then supposed to partner with me in a deal. He suffered a massive heart attack and is no longer with us. Don't get me wrong, I care but I no longer have an investor. So, I actually scouted out an investor on this site.
