First Entry: Well i've been reading a lot of whats posted on this sight, and i must say you guys really pump me up to get started. Then life hits and it seems like the brakes get thrown back on. So i thought that maybe my best chance was to start my journal and get myself into the mix. I like the thought of tracking my progress and the fact that there are other people i want to measure up too so... lets get to it.

SanBern's Journal
October 22nd, 2008 | posted by SanBernToday I spoke to the real estate agent who is responsible for selling the property I cosigned for my sister in Baltimore, Maryland. She said that no one had enquired about the property, and she is hoping that something happens quickly as do I. Financing for property in the area she said is difficult now. I just want to move on from here and avoid the mortgage every month which is killing me. I am looking forward for this to be behind me and to move on to bigger and better things for the future.

October 21st, 2008 | posted by lmartin4Hello everyone, I just signed up to this website a few days ago and have enjoyed all the discussions so far. You all seem to be working together which I think is a wonderful thing. I haven't done my first deal yet, but as I've been finding out more about this ASSIGNMENT CLAUSE (which I have not heard of in any of the seminars or the 20 odd books that I've read this year)I may be starting real soon...In my area, there's more REOs than FSBOs at EXTREMELY great prices below the FMV. I just hope these banks will be easy to work with....

October 19th, 2008 | posted by tjlnyci bought deans book BARM about a month ago. i am up to chapter 5 and feeling highly motivated to get started in REI. with another book that i am reading i think that wholesaling or assigning property might be the best way for me to get my foot in the door. but as i read though the forum i keep reading about people having a hard time with it so it is making me a little nervous.

October 16th, 2008 | posted by xchangerealI have a full time job as a software engineer. With such a demanding job, I have to do my REI on breaks, during lunch and the evenings and weekends.
I formed an LLC for all my business activities with The Company Corporate (www.incorporate.com). They are a great support organization for small corporations, like myself.
Bernie's Journal
October 16th, 2008 | posted by BMiller81Well I figured since things are starting to move I would get a journal started of my progress in this new career. I bought Dean's book about 3 weeks ago and read it in about 4 day's. I was so excited to get started. I found the web site to be quite informing. I found out about the live call and joined and got even more excited. After the call I decided to invest in my future. I contacted Dean's coaching program and after about 2 day's talking to the coach I was accepted to take the program, I've been working hard through the program.
New to this! Any pointers welcome!
October 9th, 2008 | posted by kemo0507Hi!
I am a college student, with maybe one day a week free to concentrate on this, maybe two if I am lucky. I have always been interested in Real Estate, and at a younger age, wanted to be an investor. I did not grow up in the best of environments, nor did we have alot of the basics. I have made it this far on my own, and even with the doubters getting their two-cents in about the market, I made a choice because I believe that this can work for me.

October 5th, 2008 | posted by cjlittleFINALLY! FINALLY! We actually went out and looked at houses yesterday. After being in the coaching program for about 3 months, we actually took the first step. Not that we really found anything but realtor signs and what not, it was still a step. Now we need to call and make appts to see the houses and get educated. Wish us luck.
