THE DEAL! AHHHHH!

Ok let me tell you my first deal I ever went through! My mom and dad saw a cheap property for 40,000 (2 houses on a 1 lot in TX, CHEAP!) on ebay! So my parents told the guy he wanted him to hold it so he could get he loan. (one thing my parents should have gotten a contract to hold the property!) so they got the loan and guess what the guy said, he sold it! so my parent went to look for another one and they found one for 20,00 (a peace of JUNK but we didn't know because we didn't look at it, mistake 2!) So my parents bought it and bam our life came to night mare ville!

My name is Adam and... well, I don't even have the books yet (ordered them Friday), but I've spent the past week or so almost exclusively on this forum. It is amazing! I tried REI back in 2004 through another program, but the strategies were seedy and there wasn't much in the way of support. I actually found this place after searching for David Lessing on FaceBook and being encouraged by him.

Hi you all, I wanted to say hi and thanks for all your support and want to be successful like you guys. Right now I am very limited in this business because you have to network with phones and also dealing with customers and I can't do that. I am moving up the next step to improve my lifestyle. Hopefully, after the surgery I will be able to talk on the phones like you guys and do savvy business like you all are running now. I am so happy for you all and very excited for you.

Hello to everyone. I am new to the DG boards and to DG himself. I ordered both of his books and read about half way through the first book when the Coaching Staff from the Academy called. They actually told me I was reading the wrong book first...I laughed because at the time of the call, I was reading the book, so to say the least I changed books.

My Action Plan I guess is this:

1. Creat a Buyers List.
2. Get an Agent/Broker (In Oregon they are no longer called Agents, they are Brokers.) on my team.
3. Get a Broker on my team.

Today I finally took action. I read Dean's books about 2 months. About a month ago I joined the Success Academy which is truly a great investment. The academy, along with everyone on this forum, gives so much encouragement on being successful in real estate.

Just signed up for Dean's academy, looking forward to the first call. Looked for business cards last night, and researched LLCs and LLPs. I like the benefits of an LLC but not sure if I'm ready to go that route yet, since getting financing under an LLC seems to be a problem, in MD it will cost about $200 to get the LLC set up. Need more info. on this subject from someone that has already got one in place.

Wrote down some goals, and created a calendar in google. Watched the orientation video also.

I've had a COA PhoneSolution voice mailbox for about a month now and was about to cancel it this week due to not recieving any calls. Well good thing that I didn't, because I finally got a voicemail from a homeowner wanting to sell. My voicemail was pretty simple and short because I didn't want to bore anyone with the longer script(lol, no offense Dean).
