I received a call from a novice investor last night and he gave me a nightmare of a story. It seems that he is deep doo-doo and he wants to see IF I can help him.

November 29th, 2009 | posted by BP731So, far I have begun to take notes on the first chapters of Dean's book. I set a goal to earn $60,000 dollars by the middle of February. I have a loft that I want to rent in Downtown Kansas City. I just need to figure out a strategy I can use to earn that amount of money. I know wholesaling would be a good strategy to use, but I don't think that it would achieve my goal. I could use that strategy to pay my rent and expenses on a monthly basis and build up some money to put down on some properties. However, I still want to find out if I can do lease options without any stated income.

OK, I should have started this earlier, so I have some catching up to do.
Saw Dean's infomercial on TV on Nov. 1, order his book the next day. Received his book about a week later, completed both of his books and the "success secrets" booklet on November 23rd.
November 24th, set up my voice mail, posted some adds on Craiglist & Kijiji, set up a new e-mail account, started website. Some of my add got removed?? Maybe I posted too many?

November 27th, 2009 | posted by lbrownHi DG family, I found a property that I think I can profit from. It's a single family home. I've had an opportunity to view the inside and out. It's listed as a 2 bed, one bath but after seeing it the space upstairs could be turned into a 3rd bedroom. That would make it more appealing to more people I think. Not much serious repairs appear to be needed. I look forward to redoing the kitchen and bath, also I'm going to have to add a closet upstairs. The house is being offered for $23,900. Without knowing the comps I would say that the home should appraise for at least 60 to 70K as is.

Just trying to put it all together!
November 24th, 2009 | posted by jbleessReal Estate truly is a passion! Otherwise, we would never keep pushing forward with the many ups and downs we go through. Each deal, good or bad, is another building block in our "Real Estate DNA". Something just keeps driving me to figure out how to put it all together and come full circle. That is my goal. I get how to find deals, how to get financing conventional and thinking outside the box, etc. I know how to get them remodeled and rented. What I don't know is how to get rid of them!
