My journey to SUCCESS

Hi my name is Debra Hallum. I've spent the last 6 months trying to read and absorb all I can. I feel certain that if I could arm myself with enough knowledge on how to be a REAL ESTATE INVESTOR, that I will be able to do this.
I've finally come to a place where I just need to iron out certain aspects and fully understand what I'm doing. It has taken a long time for me to get to the place where I believe my first deal is on the horizon.
So far I haven't DONE anything. I've only studied and read. I suppose I just don't want to jump in and ruin my chance to make a great first impression with other people in this field in my area. I don't want anyone to think I don't know what I'm doing.

PREFORCLOSURE LETTERS

Can you send letters to people in pre-foreclosure? I have recently heard that you cannot send these types of letters in certain states. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows the states that this is not allowed in, that would be helpful.

Thanks.

Jets To Santa Fe Journal

August 21, 2010

Joined DG Family 6-29-2010. Just started reading "Your Town, Your Real Estate". Reading is not my long suit! I wish the book was available online, so I could just read a few pages here and there while on my computer. I find this sight much easier to gleen information from.

Desparately want the new "Set For Life" system, it would throw me over my credit limit to even do the monthly payments...VERY TEMPTED to do it anyway. Really excited about the automation of the system.

I've done a few real estate purchases in the past using tools of another guru...intials C.S. It helped me net a $40K profit in 1 year and 9 months.

Timeovermoney's Journal

Here is a rundown of what I've been doing up until now

Pre 8/14- Read all of Dean's emails and watched videos for new product launch. Also downloaded free pdf he gave away and read all the info in it from Greg Murphy and Carol. Begin reading more posts here on the forums.

Also bought and set up a workstation to put into my extra room in my apartment to begin setting up an office. Feels really good and makes me feel much more professional. I had actually been planning to do that for somet time. I can go in and just shut the door and really concentrate now. Love it.

Chris's journal. "A Fresh Start."

I purchased Deans Books a while ago. Over a year ago. I read through most of one and due to time, lack of motivation and honestly too many succes stories I became less interested. Most of the book could have been cutout for me and the cut and dry "this is what you need to do and this is how you do it" would have been perfect. It was great seeing success. But so much...every other page...Enough is enough let me know what to do!

Diane's Journal

Hi all,
I just finished reading Your Town and listened to the Webinar last night. I am enjoying the excitement I'm feeling of anticipating my life changing for the better. I pray for the patience it will take me to learn this system and for the intelligence to understand it in order to put it to use for my and my family's benefit. Just the thought of learning something new is exciting for me. I have been a nurse for 28 yrs. love every minute of it but am in such need of something new and exciting. If anyone out there feels they need to mentor a newbee, I'd appreciate the help. I'll keep you posted. Best of luck to all.

How to find a FREE site for.....

Is there any way to find out a property owner's name for free?

Paul T. La Moy is back !!

Hey you all ! Long time no see and I am sorry I haven't been in touch with anyone because it took a long time to recovered from my major cochlear surgery. Everyday it gets better and hear something new everyday and it's amazing!

The possibilities are endless

First, a little background:

My grandfather was always trying to cut a deal. My father kept us away from his side of the family because of this, but I was able to piece parts of his life together over the years.

He used to own a cattle ranch in the Sierra Nevadas. He managed to lose it in some manner, so he became a property manager. He knew a lot about ranches and farms and people would hire him to run the ones they owned. They would give him power of attorney and then move out of state to their retirement home.

Any pit Falls to watch out for?

I am about to purchase a house that had a fire due to a lightning strike. It was hit by lightning right by the kitchen adjacent to the family room addition. The family room and the kitchen suffer the most. The rest of the house has a lot of smoke damage not to mention the massive clean out that is needed.

There are about 5 of the trusses that will need to be replaced as well as all the decking and shingles over the family room. After that we will have to replace everything in the kitchen and do major clean up everywhere else. You can just imagine what went through this little elderly lady’s head when she saw this fire.
