This is not me at all. I am not the type to go posting my information online for people that I don't know. I know we are the "DG Family", but this is totally out of my element and that is why I am doing this. I just came from the EDGE event and it was SOOOO FREAKIN exciting to be around like minded people again. Jen Gray said in order to be successful in Real Estate you must be comfortable with being uncomfortable. So this is why I am starting my Journal. I attended last years EDGE event had a contract and wasn't able to assign it. That discouraged me and when I started to attempt to put in offers in So. Cal. where I live; there were multiple offers and they weren't accepting anymore offers on a lot of the properties.

April 29th, 2013 | posted by mnusbaumHey everyone-
Just left the EDGE 2013 event! WHOOO! So much great information and opportunity in an AMAZING 3 days. I was brought to DG thru my significant other Jeff(who is amazing-by the way) about 6 months ago when he started as well. We relocated to NW Indiana and have been doing this full time. I was a Licensed RE Broker in Washington State before coming to the Mid-west and have always known that Real Estate was "my calling". I am an entrepreneur thru and thru and have tried many other avenues and self-implemented programs to find my way in being independently secure but none of them seemed to fit my goals and ended up being a burden rather than a joy. WELL that has changed.
New Beginnings
April 29th, 2013 | posted by HomeRootsSo I am calling my journal "New Beginnings" as this is a very appropriate title for my personal journal and adventure after having attended the "2013 Edge Event". Wow, wow, wow - what an amazing experience. There is nothing like a real live event. I have attended "The Insider's Financial Workshop", "Boots on the Ground training", the "Buying Summit" in Las Vegas, but the "Edge Event" trumped all of these. More than ever do I now feel (really feel) in my gut that I CAN do this! I can! I have seen so much proof of others being successful in this business, I have seen them, I have heard them, I talked to them, I exchanged business cards with them, I ate with them, I breathed the same air with them - it was just electric!
Our Wonderful Journey
April 29th, 2013 | posted by All Brothers Co...Hi DG and Family
We have been off to a slow start trying to organize our lives and juggling things to work, but it is going better.
We know that we will succeed with all the help and knowledge that we have available. We are like that snow ball starting down the hill picking up speed as we go. I enjoy reading everyones posts and am learning from them.
We are off to another great week and hope every one has the same.

April 27th, 2013 | posted by movin-on-upI began my real estate journey a year ago. At the time I did not have any capital to speak of and only knew that I did not want to pad my landlords pockets anymore!
When I went in to talk to a reator I was looking to buy a single family home for my fiance and our dog and I to live in. The agent was about to change my life by saying eight words "what do you know about being a landlord." When he asked me this and I was taken back. I said "I know they don't pay rent" we laughed and he helped me to look at money in a whole new way passively.
One month later on May 29 of 2012 I had purchased a Triplex and did'nt pay rent anymore.

April 26th, 2013 | posted by HomeRootsAm at the IE party in Scottsdale, AZ. Had a blast today with our Team #13 with Tammy Reoche as a ringleader. What more do you want. Weather is great, people are great, collecting lots of business cards for networking, learning new things to do (I mean really do on the spot) and creating confidence as we are going along. Off to the dinner party. It's so cool to meet our stars in person. They are so nice and so willing to share RE nuggets. Folks try to be here next year. It is so worth it!

April 24th, 2013 | posted by hutchieI want everyone to know right off the bat that I have had THE ROCK BOTTOM BLUE PRINT from the vary start, about two years I belive. I have started a number of times, and faled. But when I faled I would stop and go do something elts. And then after a while I would try again. I have been doing this over and over fore the last two years. Then today I spoke with my bosses brother, and he told me why. He said he had the same problem when he started his business, vary successfull,. He said "you have too many intrists". To make a long story short, I do have many intrists, and hobbies. What he made me realize is when things got tuff, and painfull, in my RE investing my mind would take me somewhere more enjoyable, and less painfull.
Kellifornia Properties and Beyond
April 17th, 2013 | posted by kfoleyThank you to Dean and EVERYONE who contributed to the April Buying Summit - we so enjoyed it and it was just what we needed. We have been flipping in Sacramento and have hit a little road block with hedge funds paying 20% more at the trustee sales( where we pick up most our properties)then what we would sell the properties for, and have been trying to re-adjust and re-direct our business. Thanks Dean for taking the time to meet and sign and give us your book - read and re-read. Our goal is set.
Following Our Dream - Dave and Gina Journal
April 16th, 2013 | posted by dmsprop1We technically started this journey in January at the 3 day seminar, it then took us until March to do boots on the ground. The reason for that was we had to scrape up the money to purchase the additional training. Once that was done, we were on our way!!! However, we became overwhelmed with life and all the tasks at hand. We then attended the buying summit (April 2013). That was exactly what we needed, we met so many people starting out just like us!
