Listening to this video makes me realize how important it is to receive family endorsement. Both of my parents are gone, and I live alone with only Molly who is a gold mine of encouragement. I feel the loss, but I praise God for the wonderful encouragement from my daughter. Helping and encouraging others is of paramount importance in our lives. Thank you Dean for the reminder to be thankful for the blessings we have AND to encourage others often and be a real blessing to them. Dean you are a continual blessing and a source of encouragement to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

We never know how much we are going to impact other people. Your grandmother really shaped your life and you honor her to share it with us. AND she was apparently a great cook. Think I'll make more of the fabulous spaghetti sauce!
Once in a while, my son, now 25, will repeat to me something I told him years ago. Wow he was really listening, really absorbing - we have to be sure we say the right things - the encouraging things, because what we teach, either purposefully or just by being - is going to make a lasting impact.

For more wisdom. I did thank my sister Alison this week for going in on our latest deal. And I thanked you Dean you helped a lot with us closing this deal also. I hope that some day we will be able to help a lot more people also.

Your Grandmother new how to "pay it forward" thats for sure. A day or so ago, I saw the picture of Brody on your lap and I stopped momentarily to enjoy it as he is so cute. Today hearing you share I was reminded of little Brody and I imagined you as the little boy in your Grandmothers care. It brings warm feelings to my heart and soul because it is pure love and I know how special you were to her. Because of what she instilled in you she has enriched the lives of so many people then and now and going forward as I am sure little Brody and Breana will continue to carry the torch. Good job Carmella. Thank you so much Dean for allowing us into your life and for all the wisdom you bring to us. We are richly blessed in unimaginable ways.

You made me think of my dad. This is a long story, but I'll make it short. He came here from Romania when he was 20 years old and didn't speak English. He joined the Army. It's against the law to join the service and not be able to speak English, lol, but that didn't stop him. Anyway, my dad is an incredible man. I didn't always think so, and I was the black sheep in my family. I know I hurt both him and my mom a lot when I was growing up. Anyway, just the other day I "tagged" him in a photo on my Facebook photos. I posted, "That's my DAD! Love you, Dad :-)". After that, some other people commented on the photo, and I did again. I was gushing all about how he's 87 years old and has accomplished so much in his life (we've been trying to get him to write a book) and today when I went over there for dinner, he brought Facebook up and asked me who it was I was telling all these things to about him and I said just a friend, but he was so proud and beaming that I was proud of him and this is making me cry because if you only knew how much I put my folks thru, well, never mind. I am seriously very grateful to God for letting me come to my senses so my dad can know how much I love and respect him before it's too late. Anyways, I guess this is sort of inline with your vlog theme. Thanks for always getting us to dig deep, Dean.

as always your blogs never fail to hit home.
i got up yesterday and said today i'm not doing anything r.e. related. i'm going to spend time with my family. so i got up a little late for me and watched joel osteen( one of my sunday a.m. rituals ) and it ties in to this weeks blog.
what amazes me is that most people are so busy with their (i include myself here sometimes)lives they forget the simple things: you see a glass, is it half full or half empty, treat people like you want to be treated, look out for those less fortunate and believe me if you want to feel sorry for yourself look around and you'll find you're actually extremely blessed.

There is something when Grandma says something the wise listen. You made me think about my grandmother who passed away 4 years ago who came to this country from Puerto Rico 70 yrs ago. I look back what she went through and far she came. As one of her youngest grandchildren, I want to bring my family to the next level through RE. Never growing up in a house, it's something I want so bad. Alot of things depend on me succeed through RE. Thank you Dean for your program. My first deal is on its way.

dude 27 min for a 5k is pretty good, don't sell yourself short. 27 mins/3.2 miles= a little under 9 mins a mile! That's good even for "us" runners.

U ever want some exercise/healthy eating tips...you know where to go!

It's awesome you had such a bond with your grandmother. My grandmother was very similar, lost her in July of this year, she offered me alot of positive advice. Your so write!! More positivity should be spread, not only to improve yourself as an investor but as a person. The world would be a much better place if there was more of it. Very inspiring.

Thank you, Dean, for bringing back memories of my grandmother. She was a remarkable woman who traveled all over Los Angeles bringing fresh eggs, rabbits, chickens, ravioli and what ever else she had produced to all of her friends who were ill, unhappy, or lost. When she died there were hundreds of people at the church and cemetery. She was the most generous and loving member of her family. She never learned English since she immigrated to the US to join her husband when she was an adult but she was able to communicate with everyone. Thank you again for the memories.

Another great week of wisdom. I have always been a positive person and tried to give words of praise and encouragement to my family and friends, but then I was going thru alot of negativety in my life and I noticed that I was bringing the people down that I love the most so I did an about face and realized that by giving positive feedback and praise it made me feel better as a person myself. I'm back to waking up being a positive person and you and your grandmother are right. The more positive you project to people really makes a difference in their life as well as your own. Thanks for all your positive motivation.

I was raised by my grandmother too, and she was also an amazing woman, with an incredible vision, and now as a grown woman and rei I admire her even more. Even though she never attended high school, I now know that she was a real estate investor without even knowing it herself! She had 10 kids of her own, raised 5 grandkids, never worked outside the home, and by the time that she passed away, not only did she owned 4 houses on the same block, but had also accumulated acres of land in a town outside the city limits worth millions!
I only wish she had lived longer so that she could have taught me, but I was fortunate enough to spend time with her and see how she did a few things, and now it is all coming back to me...

Grandmothers are the best! I loved mine so much and now that I am one, I hope I can do the same for my six grandchildren.

You are so right about letting people in your life know what they have done for you while they are still with us. And don't forget the handwritten notes!!! They make such a great impact. I'm afraid we forget that in this time of technology. Please don't! Some people will save them forever using them for consent encouragement.

Great message Dean! My grandmother and mom had the same influence on me too. They both reminded me I could do anything I wanted if I put my mind to it. It sure feels good to hear good things like that. It also makes me feel good to have a good influence on someone else. Have an excellent week!!!

It was my Mom that would alway say to me.
Just try harder next time,learn from your mistakes.

I love this weeks wisdom because it resonates. The relationship I have with my gram!!! I tell her and my gramps....I love them EVERY time I see them.they r a VERY important part of my life and I also practicly lived with them.I can remember walking out into the st lawrencce river to fish...WITH MY GRAMMA!!! and hearing her tell me I could do ANYTHING and BE ANYTHING!!!.also my gramps taught me how to work on any engine that ran and any kind of transmission!!!
They r ANGELS!!! I still have a letter from my gram that she gave me when I was very small telling me how proud her and Popum..(.I couldn't say grampa when I was younger..).......was of me and to always be a GOOD BOY!! And that they both loved me sooo much.
Well anyway they r still alive ...one 88 and one 89.
I am calling them right now to tell them that I LOVE THEM AND THANK them for all they have done for me! !!
