I have determined that my focus will be assignments and I am focusing in both the Nashville and Memphis areas. I currently live in Nashville but am from Memphis. I know the Memphis area really well and am learning very quickly which areas in Nashville are good areas to invest.
My goals for the month of October:
1. Assign 1 property by 10/31
2. Qualify an agent and start the 25:1 method.
a. Craigslist ad
3. Build buyers list to at least 50.
a. call For Rent signs
b. call ads for rent in the newsppr
Just starting out
October 8th, 2009 | posted by RhinoI am half way through the book and have been reading the posts and topics here online and seam to have trouble weeding through the useless info and trying to get to the details of different stratagies and step by step methods. I don't have all day to set and read. I wish I did.
Is there a way to get just the meat of whats being discussed?
Also, I am looking for a partner that is in the Charleston, WV area to possibly work with in getting started. Anyone there?
Help, Help

Natcat's Journal
October 5th, 2009 | posted by natcatI have been reading Dean's book and have joined a local REI club to really get out there and see who else is investing but I have to admit that I have the fear around me. I'm so excited to get startedbut I don't feel like I understand the concepts or the language of real estate (yet). I know I have to be patient and just keep learning and growing.
Patrice's Journal
October 4th, 2009 | posted by psmcculloughI'm Patrice, and my husband and I ordered Deans books a little less than a month ago. I started on the first, "How to be a Real Estate Millionaire"; and pretty much am finished with it. I started "Profit from Real Estate RIGHT NOW!" and it's like I can't get enough of it! I feel like I'm almost there as far as the exact knowledge that I need to gain in order to get started. To be quite honest, I'm a little nervous. The truth of the matter is how many "no"'s do you get before you get a "yes"? Eventually it will come, right?!
ROADBLOCK?? I NEED HELP FAST!
October 4th, 2009 | posted by Epidemic2115I bought deans 2 latest books back in May. Lack of time, stress and fear were always my reasons for not taking action. It took me a while to realize that they were just excuses and that if I truly wanted to be successful, I would have to get over them all and do something about it. So i did. FINALLY!
New To This
October 3rd, 2009 | posted by Jason79Hi, my name is Jason and I live in the NorthenVA area. I have just finished DG's book and it is very powerful. Iam ready to start no holds bar. The frist thing is to set my goals to know where I want to start. Then find a REA to build my team. It will take on step and a time and I will never give up. Today I will call five REA that fit my needs. If the frist five don't work for me then I will call five more until I find one. I can't let fear stop me now. Just do it. The people on the sit are a grate motivetion for me to keep it going.

October 3rd, 2009 | posted by mendezfamilia5My husband and I are new investors here in South Jersey. We have read Dean's books(loved them!) and have been listening to other trainers as well. We are both very eager to get moving on a property but I feel we have some of that analysis paralysis that Dean spoke of on his call last night!! Information overload!!
