You are right on Dean, it takes association with like minded people to be successful. I just sold my cell phone store, I was successful with it because I associated with my like minded brother who has also been a cell phone dealer for years. The market in this industry is changing to where I don't want to be involved in it anymore.
I sold at a good time and I am turning my attention to real estate investing. I hope to have the support of like minded people on your team to be successful at this and bring my brother along with it. He is happy for me that I was able to build a business and sell it, but, sad that I will no longer be in the business alongside him. Like I told him, I have enjoyed every year of my life, but when I get board with what I'm doing I go to the next chapter. This is my next chapter. Are you guys (DG Family) with me?!

I truly thank you for this week's words of wisdom. I have been guilty of spending too much time wishing for the good old days. I may have been a fly on the wall since joining this site and your family but I have learned much and now it is time to make use of the knowledge. I know I can come to this family if I need inspiration or help. Thank you and HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL - WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND LOOK FORWARD TO.

Like so many above have said " thanks Dean for understanding where we/I am right now" I truly need some help finding some Investors in Savannah Ga. I've been getting very discouraged in my pursuits of finding some truly motivated investors here. I even had another "Coach" set up a meeting with me to talk about Investing with me but to my dismay when I got to his office he had it set up to where I was an example for his students of how to and how not to talk to potential Investors and made me feel about an inch tall, because of course a person who has been in the industry for 15-20 years would know just what questions to ask to quite Frankly throw me right under the bus and then back up right over me.
So I am here today pleading with anyone here that might be able to point me in the right direction. Savannah is a very good market because of all of the tourism and the grate history that this town holds I just really need some help please!

Dean: Thank you for your video of November 22, 2011. I am 64, a retired executive of a major insurance company. I have an insurnace agency which has suffered great decline in the past four years. I have done some very succesful real estate deals in the past. After two ugly divorces and the crashing economy in Phoenix, AZ, your message grabs me. It seems that nothing I knew in the past matters now that every thing has changed. However, I have to tell you I want a greater future than past. This video awakens an urge I cannot describe. The greatest U. S President of modern times (Regan) took office at the age of 72. I have a lot of timeand it is clear that you have develped a system that is very successful in these changing timems. As always, great blog/video and the message is right on. We got off to a very slow start due to a varity of reasons, but the buying summit last month and these blogs are really helping us to get up and get going! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Lately, I've felt like I was just all over the place and not getting anywhere. Family and friends pulling at me about the holiday cooking etc....Now, I know I just need to get more organize, find a quiet place to work and Focus, Focus, Focus!!!!

Yes I am a person who has always been afraid of failure in the past but I believe by being a part of this site it will help me get over my fears and to get out and JUST DO IT. I need to see and read comments made here on DG every week because I will start slacking and get motivated all over again. Look like I will have a lot of time to make some moves, on Disability now no excuse now to say I need to make time to do the things necessary to work that first deal! Life is soooo good even when their is a set back.

I am in a transitional time of my life. Getting settled in a new part of the country. It's all good. I eventually want to acquire residential real estate, make it nice and make it available to people who want a nice place to live at a reasonable cost.

Dean, I need more time on the refund offer. I'm working on a Duplex deal in Indianapolis with some nice cash flow to offset my lagards in Las Vegas. When I started for the refresher (I call it)I was interested in the Grant Program and Delinquent Tax Deals. I jumped the gun and found out I was back in the Income Property business and wouldn't get much help (coaching) with the other stuff as advertised. I am helping my son in another Group and we'll have a meeting over the Thanksgiving visit. I think once you get past 80, a little handicap is much appreciated. Heck, it works in Golf. I work seven days a week but many that are necessary in this business have different hours. I'll stick with ya, once the Holiday delays are over. Happy Thanksgiving, Bill

Awesome Dean I like your style brother. I just partnered with a real estate broker/investor and he started a real estate club in Los Angeles. I checked out his club it was amazing. You are so on the money Dean being in a group that has link minded thinking has now changed my life and looking forward to the best future and present ahead. No excuse to not make it. I have woken up to it now. The language and belief that comes out of people's mouth is there reality so as they say BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY. I hear there is a great book out called Hung By the Tongue it sounds like a perfect title for now.

Came home from the J O B feeling low. Never seem to have enough time to work on this business. Remembered I hadn't watched the new video for this week. Great to hear that there is a community of like minded people on this site. I may be starting out slow, but when my wheels start turning, Look out. Thanks for inspiring me. My goal is to have 1-2 wholesale deals a month this year. There, I said it. Now I have to do it.

First I want to thank you. I thank you for having a place for the "Crazies" to go lol! In all honestly it is odd how most people are pessimistic about their daily existence, and do not appreciative that; hey you got up in the morning, and That is the main battle because you never know when you won't.
It is great that you just HAVE this place. I check my blogs late but I love that I can. That there are those out there who think big and are going for it just like me. It makes me realize I am not loco>>> the rest of the 99 percent of the world is.

Your weekly blog keeps me interested in doing real estate. It's the only way I see to have a comfortable retirement. I don't work at it often enough to make it work. But that will change soon. I'm just wrapping up a few things for the Holidays, and then I'll find more buyers and start really using the Set For Life program.

I'm sure I will be asking for help.

went to an Auction last week hoping to get alot of phone numbers for my buyers list. so disappointed! There was an investor there buying it all?? He had more money than anyone else in the room-buy lunch 1/2 the investors left and the other half were ****ed off.
I got the phone number of one of the remaining investors. I felt so defeated and without the completion of a buyers list-feeling stuck?? I found one real estate agent-but now realizing that he's not really a experienced agent when it comes to wholesale and assignment of contracts. I don't know what to do and just feel lost the last week??
Anybody out there have an suggestions let me know

Absulutly wonderful being around a wonderful team that promotes such success and success stories such as 1st deal to being a millinare. Speaking of success I bought Your Town/Think A little diferent love both book @ audio I drive with them in my car looking for property all the time. Now I erolled Dean's Succes acadamy and am 'fired right up' I am working a strategy of negotiating a successful outcome. I can't wait for #1 to happen. I happen to be in central Wis. and it seems to be and unheard of strategy. I went to a couple of sheriff's auctions and watched and learned,listened. Trying to create a proper introduction of services we offer. Dean I LOVE every one of your video's you gave strength to carry on thru these tough times of my stage 4 COLO/RECTAL Cancer battle. Thank you Dean and all DG'ers! At 53 I feel like I have worked so hard for so many years and I am grateful for my wonderful family and all I have learned. Though I fully understand I have not worked smart, and I haven't surrounded myself with people who ARE where I want to be, until I stepped off the curb and got off my ___ a couple of months ago (finally) and began being a part of DG.com-- doing so has helped me get started and BE IN real estate to propel me to the freedom needed to help others. The word grateful is not nearly a strong enough word to express my feelings about Dean and the DG family.
Whether it is a 12 step or a 30 day program, it works because we are together.
We are already bigger than our past. Thank you Dean!

It seems like it is taking along time to get our first deal. I sometimes get very frusterated with the speed of things. Doing something every day to work towards our goals so i always come back here to get motivated by Dean and others too. Working hard and Never give up you will find a reward in the end.

I can't lie, it's been very difficult for me but I am not giving up.

It is true that part of it is attitude. Another part, however, is age. I will be 61 in one month and 3 days. I have to have a bigger past than future unless I live to be more than 122 years old. Of course, we don't know what medical science will come up with in the next 61 years.

Keep my base in Lewiston, Maine, but earn enough money to: 1. Be able to stop worrying all the time. 2. Be able to stop delivering the daily paper so I can go some places 3. Be able to go places, see the rest of this country. Do some work in warmer places during the winter. I just shoveled 9 inches of snow about 1/2 hour ago. I enjoy getting the exercise and really don't mind shoveling snow, but I would like it to be a choice, not a necessity.
Also, on a more private note, I would like to become a better person so I could attract a soulmate.
