I got involved in real estate in the early 80's as the "girl" friday for a successful custom builder and developer. As those of you who were around in the mid to later 80's know, we had a real estate bust back then too so I started selling antiques and collectibles and spent time raising my son. Before long I was back working part time for my old boss. When things started to really take off again in real estate, I took over the building end of the business while he concentrated on residential development. Problem was I was still faced with much bias as a female general contractor so after several missed opportunities we became partners. We did well developing & selling residential lots and building custom homes until 2008 when as we all know everything came to a screeching halt.

I have always loved being involved in real estate and after one of those sleepless nights in 2010 during which I watched Dean's infomercial for probably the 10th time I took the plunge and ordered Dean's books. I have been a fly on the wall at this site for over a year now and although I am familiar with a lot of real estate terminology, contracts, etc., I have learned a tremendous amount from all who post here. I feel it is a priveledge to have free access to all the knowledge shared on this site and I thank Dean for all he does for us.

It is my goal to again be successful in real estate. I will have to start out bird dogging or assigning but many have done so and moved up from there. I would like to eventually buy fix and flip or fix and hold for rental property using my construction experience. I have always struggled with a lack of self confidence but I must overcome and make things happen.
