AndyS's blog

Dec 8

Took a couple of days off of blogging because I had not much to report Sad

I spent the past 3 hours using my new camera and skyping with fellow DGer Mark K. We shared a number of ideas and hopefully will be helping each other move forward.

In the meantime, I also have been helping another DGer locally on a deal. At least my training is not going to waste. Once this is done, he can move on my lead from my REIA group.
I just figure that if someone does a deal using my information, I can feel a sense of accomplishment that I was instrumental in getting it done. That's a win win for me. Compensation? If I get some, that would be great. If I don't, that's okay too. I've learned something along the way.

So that's it for now. Big lure day tomorrow Sad

Till next time...

The aftermath

So today I am 1 year older and not financially in any better shape having my best shot at a deal falling through. The reality of this is that I need to still work double time making more lures while looking for properties.

After a brief time this morning posting to a thread, the rest of my day was filled with lure work. 9PM showed up and I realized that I hadn't been on this site for pretty much the whole day so I came to check my PMs and hear the weekly wisdom and post to a couple of threads.
Other than that, I've been checking for more props for Michael and reaching out to anyone who could help me get them. Three hours in and I'm doing my blog.

It's midnight now so time to close. Got a big day of work ahead of me tomorrow.

Till next time...

12/3 Birthday day :)

I need to start by saying how overwhelmed I was today with all your birthday wishes. I even got my own thread (Thanks Mike). As you may have read in Mike's thread, I'm truly not used to all this attention when it comes to my birthday but it's nice to know you all care. Thank you all very much. I guess I made the right choice when I joined the DG family. I hope to be able to return the favor to you all.

It's been said that into each life a little rain must fall. Well today I got both rained on and a sun shower.

Dec 2, 2011 (I've lost track of what day # this is)

It has come to my attention that there are people out there missing my blogs Smiling Thanks, I didn't know you cared Eye-wink

I'll try to catch you all up.

This has been a hectic week and a half for me. For starters, I was very busy preparing for my first dinner guest in my new home. (I've lived here for 4 years now and never had anyone over for a meal.) There was a lot of clutter and paperwork everywhere so I was in Spring CLEANING mode. That took almost 3 days and I only live in a 2/1, 700 sq foot home. (I'm bad about cleaning, I know.)

Day 105 & 106

Well Turkey day is over. Got nothing but cooking and eating done but that's okay. I made dinner for my girlfriend and my neighbor who's wife has been out of the country for the past 6 weeks or so. Spent some time helping some local Veterans too. I have a lot to be grateful for in my life even without that elusive first sale. I hope other DGers can feel the same even without their own first deals.

Today, I spent most of the day catching up on old emails, reading posts and thinking about how to proceed. It ended with me doing some CL searches. Money is getting tighter and tighter so driving for dollars is not the way to go right now. I'm concentrating on older listings on CL to call on tomorrow.

Day 104

I am doing my blog early because I have a lot to do tonight.
Mostly, nothing has changed since yesterday. Still waiting for Prop. info. while making lures to pay the bills. I spoke with a fellow investor who responded to my bandit signs and he told me that he too was having difficulties finding people willing to part with their money. He's now trying to find properties that fit my buyer's criteria.

So that would be the end of today's post 'cept for this:
To all my followers and all those who only know me by my posts, I wish you all a
HAPPY & SAFE THANKSGIVING!
Remember those less fortunate than yourselves and thank whomever you thank for what you do have in your lives.

Till next time, gobble gobble gobble...
