I need to start by saying how overwhelmed I was today with all your birthday wishes. I even got my own thread (Thanks Mike). As you may have read in Mike's thread, I'm truly not used to all this attention when it comes to my birthday but it's nice to know you all care. Thank you all very much. I guess I made the right choice when I joined the DG family. I hope to be able to return the favor to you all.
It's been said that into each life a little rain must fall. Well today I got both rained on and a sun shower.
As you all my have figured out by now, my out of state deal fell through. There's a good news, bad news thing with this. The good news is, I found out that the deal had fallen through before I posted my blog last night so I didn't jinx anything by bringing it up last night.(Remember, I'm not superstitious ) The good news is that all my efforts may have landed me a great opportunity here at home. I'll be talking more about this as things become more finalized. (finger's crossed)
I can't stress enough the importance of networking. I now understand why my Dad was involved with so many clubs and groups even after putting in a hard day's work. He was networking for his business. If you are new or just starting out, NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK with other investors. They are doing what you want to do and someone will help you along your path. That's how I got this out of state deal. I actually belong to 3 national clubs including ours and was able to make connections through them to help our fellow DGer. I'm going to get Michael his 6 houses if it kills me!!!! I've already got more irons into that fire so my bounce back time (re: Dean's past blog) is under 8 hours (and I was out celebrating my birthday for most of those 8 hours.)
Networking also got me a lead from my East coast REIA group about a house on the West coast of FL. I called a fellow DGer who is out there and he is going to pick up the ball. You see the importance of networking? It's the best thing you can do short of winning the lottery or publisher's clearing house. ( BTW, don't bother entering the Pub. Clearing house sweepstakes. I've already got my entry with the winning number locked in )
So here it is 12/3, 11:50 PM. Just under 24 hours from when I told you all about what I had hoped was going to be my first completed deal. I'm a little bummed out but not down for the count. I have high anticipation with this new opportunity and have seen the power of coming out of my shell. Thank you all again for making this a special day for me.
Finally, I don't know if any of you read the post by Randy (Randy428) about his grand daughter. If you haven't, I urge you to go and offer him your support and best wishes. The forum title is "What's the price to pay". That would be a great birthday present for you to give me, Helping someone who needs our help.
So that's it for now. Tomorrow's another day. I'll be older and 1 more day closer to my first deal.
Till next time...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE DECEMBER BABIES!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Just reading this, sorry I missed your birthdays!
One step at a time, one day at a time...

Andy
