Encouragement Thread

Let's have a thread simply for encouraging one another!

Here's why:

Often, when people start thinking and speaking about getting involved in real estate investing, often times they have discouragement and/or people try to discourage them either intentionally or unintentionally, and often it's from the the people closest to us.

I have found encouragement hard to come by with those around me in my own personal and professional life. My wife of 23 years doesn't mean to be discouraging, but she doesn't understand my ambition and the things I talk about, so she's not particularly encouraging, either.

Taking The Winter Off

I read several post about whether you should take time off over the holiday season. I pressed through.
Closing on a subject 2 deal today that has a little equity but I can rent out for profit and sell later.
Locked up a private deal which my buyer will close on end of month. Receieved 2 more contracts yesterday that were on the MLS that I will have no problem assigning. That is what kicks off a great year !

Edge system issue

Sorry to have to ask here but I can't get a call back with an answer to this. On dean's link to buy the last few tickets to the edge there seems to be a problem with the system. I bought my ticket as well as clicking the button to purchase the ticket for my partner for the additional 350 for a total of $1,845 which it showed. It then sent me a notice that I was in and my total was 1,495.00 for one ticket. I also don't see that the money came out of my paypal account but that's not the main issue here. I need to know that my partner ticket is taken care of since everything else is booked already. Have emailed and called several times but have not gotten a reply so I have to ask here before it sells out.
