Happy Early Thanksgiving!

Its a day to reflect about the past, and its a day to think about the present! Even though the world around us continues to grow more difficult, theres still so much for all of us to be thankful for. So lets take this day and forget about our worries, and thank GOD for all that we have,no matter how little, or how much. Very proud to a part of such a great family. The DG family is a special family. One where we CHOOSE to belong and know that we can bring our REI baggage to others for advise and support. Our Thanksgiving table won't discuss REI much (if any)as we are the only ones who "get it." It is great to be able to come to this site to be around others who "GET IT!" It would be awesome to sit around a big dinner table and hear about others REI experiences and advice. We'll just have to go to the Edge event for that I guess.

Similar to Shelia's comments not all share the passion, will have to put on my armor to have turkey! lol Then have to go through Jen's negative detox program afterwards! haha!

But guess you just got to just love them anyway with limited exposure! Hey I know, think I'll sit at the kids table tomorrow! lol!

But sad though, everyday should be a Thanksgiving day. (minus the 20lbs of food).
It was HUGE shift in my outlook and outcomes when before get out of bed in the morning I say a prayer, then 10 things I am greatful/thankful for, followed by my affirmations to myself, then roll over and read my goals taped to the wall. BEFORE my feet hit the floor!
Try it, think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the result.

I want to wish Happy Thanksgiving to all the DG family as well. Without your support we would be no where instead of progressing to a new life and future.

Thanksgiving is an everyday occurrence. However, on this holiday, I pray that all will be safe, if you have to drink, don't drive, and please be safe as you journey to family and friends. I will be hibernated at home. May God continue to bless us all.

Just want to wish all my fellow DGers a Happy & Safe Thanksgiving. Be safe if you're traveling, warm if you are in the cold, cool if you're in the heat and full by the end of your celebration.
Remember those who are less fortunate than you and thank whomever you thank for what you have.

Jim, you have lots of family. We're here. I wish I could spend the day with you. I'm off work and my kids won't be home until Christmas. I'm kinda lonely but I'm loved and so are you. I'm in Atlanta and it would be nice if you contact me sometimes. We could talk real-estate and make plans for future holidays. I'm a pretty mean cook. My only problem is getting people away from the table. Ha ha. I think Dean's the best. Happy Thanksgiving today and everyday.

Hi everyone. Its Thanksgiving day. I want to thank Dean for bringing us all together. I also want to thank all of you as my family for keeping me focused. Sometimes I feel as if life itself is beating me down and I become exhausted with trying. This is where I always come. This is where I get to roll up my sleeves and do something positive. I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for always being there and pushing me through. I will always be grateful to have you with me. A place called home. I love you all Family. And Jen, you made me laugh. Sometimes we need that extra few minutes in the bed where it is so comfortable. Especially when it is cold outside.

Its raining here this morning and the Macy's Thanksgiving parade is on the tv. I am so broke that I can not take myself out to the Radisson this year, so I fixed a pot of coffee and a mimosa here at home. Also made cottage potatoes with onions and mushrooms and poached two eggs on top. Served it up on two slices of Milton's wheat toast. Oh so good.

No family here. That can be a good thing. Don't have to deal with family feuds. Love my parrots and my dog Hallie Punkin. I rescued Miss Kitty that produced 3 kittens a week later. They are 9 months now and got them all fixed on spca vouchers $10.00 each.

Will continue working on plans, goals, financial statements and thinking about taxes. Need some money and have not been able to get a loan so I tell myself it is deal time. Also looking at Rich Dad Cash flow to learn more about money and getting out of the rat race. I picked up a small job as a demo lady at costco to make a little pocket money and get me out with people. That sounds weird to say as an investor but it is a good thing. Until I get that deal I need to find extra dollars where ever I can. In the end I plan to have multiple streams of income. I have really had to tighten the belt and that is not an entirely bad thing because we do have to learn how to handle money so that we do not sqaunder it when we get wealthy. If I don't have some big deals or enough cash flow properties then I have to be careful about how much I make until I turn 66. I just have to make things happen.
