RE License in California

Hello all, I went to a RE Lawyer today as I'm building my power team- I showed him my Assignment of Contract that I downloaded from DG site-
He told me that I needed to be a Licensed RE agent in California in order to be paid by a seller-

Soo calling all California DGer's that have done Assignments in Calif. - can you help me? Maybe a different contract is needed?
HELP !

Questions From A Pre-Beginner

Ive just read Dean's book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now". Its fantastic!!! But I need some answers, advice, motivation, etc. It seems as if this book was written for me....mid 30's, horrible credit, deadend job, & no money. Other than DG's book, I have no previous experience with real estate, and im not familiar with any terms, legalities, or situations. On top of all this, Im kinda shy and not a go-getter. Is this really my chance to turn it around???

**All the following questions deal with this book and the No Money Down approach by DG
Questions I have (some may seem stupid):

1) Am I catching on too late to this concept? It seems as if there are many people out there doing this same thing.

I Left My Book In Virginia

I am sick to my stomach. I safrificed and used part of my rent money to buy this course; I was on page 147 of Profit From Real Estate Right Now and I left it in a hotel room in Virginia. Hotel claims it's not in lost and found. I just hope it is a blessing to whatever maid found it. I am trying to do an option and assign it as I have a buyer lined up but the point I stopped at in the book was the part leading up to explaining it in detail. I don't know what to do...

Sup everyone im new here just gotta question i seen on this site.

I seen that if you call some one who is looking for a home and you get a contract from them telling them your a investor who can find you a home for a small fee. If you find that home for that buyer could you really get a commission even tho your not a realitor?? Please answer this cause if this is true this could be a great way for me to start investing.

Talking to my 1st Tenant Buyer

Hi guys just got the book read the 1st 3 chapters & I'm already going be talking to my 1st Tenant buyer tonight. I'm not nervous or anything just happy going work on my flyers & bandit signs today & try to start forming a team in my area. Have a bunch of #'s to call so I'm already super busy w/all of this & Loving every second if anybody has any helpful tips.Please PM me. PS was talking to a friend & his friend just got foreclosed on & lost a house my mouth just dropped & I was like damn missed out on a deal but it gave me hope I can make money doing real estate in my area.

I almost finished Deans book profit from realestate right now. I want to do it So bad! I have a friend who says that he can help me with getting the investors (he is a real estate agent) I just need to get off my butt and do it. Also I'm kind of scared. Does anyone have any sujestions that could help me get started?

I have found 2 great realtors in 2 different states. Smiling I feel so blessed!

I would like to ask those of you that have found your dream realtor:
1. What exactly do you have them do for you?
2. What exactly do you do?
3. How do you compensate your realtor when you bring him/her in on the deals you find?
4. What might be some extra bonuses you give to them when you've ramped up to full speed?
5. Should I try to negotiate a lower percentage because I will be buying at least 3 properties through him/her each month to start?

hmm where to start?...well since im a little weary about putting personal info on the computer i'll go by my middle name. So u can call me Ty. i live in NY and i bought deans book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now" about a year ago. it took me a while to read it because i was going through some personal family issues, but i finally got around to reading it (which took me about 6 hours total) and i must say i've never been more excited to get started with anything in my life. i loved how simple and self-explanatory the book was and how its numerous examples plus additions of real-life stories can even make a caveman feel he can do it.
