I have noticed that although a number of people have signed up for the SFL system, nobody seems to be monitoring this forum anymore.
Has anybody been able to complete any deals using this system and if so, please explain how you're using it in your business.
I keep getting reports about new bankruptcies and tax liens being filed, but I still have not gotten one cash buyer to market to.
I've sent postcards to over 400 private lenders, bankruptcies, tax liens and renters and I've gotten no response from any of them.
Also, has anybody been able to do any real networking with the crossroads system? The only posts I ever see are the ones that say people are now friends and not much else.
Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

I did purchase it, but while I still had access to everything on it, got no where with it.
I love the EDGE dvds' we rec'd, but even had friends try and help me find things on the SFL to no avail.
I have met a couple people from DG in my state and basically it was the same.
I am finding PML on my own and other than watching the dvds' at times, I never continued with it.
Not at all computer savvy, so didn't push it. Will follow the posts on here to see what others have done with it.

I use it pretty heavily. All of my marketing is driven through my squeeze pages whether buyer or seller. I have gotten a large volume of leads/buyer from it. Which inturn lead to deals closings.
I have the cash buyers lead pipes that I origally was using a letter from the marketing resources. Secured about 3 cash buyers off mailers. Now I uses post cards and have a better success rate. I mail out about 50-75 mailers a week. I have not had a response from the private lenders in regards to contacts or securing a PML. Soooo what I do and my thought process. (which I'm not 100% clear on where the private money leads are driven from) but mail the same post cards that I do to my cash buyers to the private money leads. Way I look at it, they may be more inclined to contact me about a non-listed discount property than fronting capital to a complete stranger. I see it as if I had money and received a letter/post card in the mail, would not be as inclined to call and say "hey I received a card, how much to you want" as I would "I received your card, interest in investing in a discounted property". My MAIN goal is to get a response so I can build a relationship. Will have to let you know the responses though. This weekend was only the second wave of mailers private money leads as same as cash buyers. Will have 60 to distribute today.
I like the aspect of creating a deal (entering it once) and having my properties uploaded straight to my core website that my squeeze pages are re-routed to. Only drawback is that I wish there was a bit more flexibility in website 'stickability'. It doesn't have the tools/look that I want (or I haven't discovered yet - lol). I was able to input links to calculators, area sites/attractions, etc., but all which take the site participant 'away' from my site. I want tools inserted INTO my website. So they don't navigate away.
I also use the blast feature to market a property straight to my buyers as well as the sell point link for uploaded to the 68 plus websites at once.
Hope this helps!
God bless,
Jen
Same here, I purchased it also and got no where with either. I"m not computer savvy either.
It looks like a pretty good program and I'm sure it is but for someone like me it's kind of an information overload and confusing. Not to mention the little time I have to spend on it and figure everything out.
My access has expired. I guess I didn't understand there was going to be a monthly charge after 6 months which I'm sure was my fault, so I did not renew.
I'm still trying to network with people in my area but likes Dean's says there's a lot of negative people out there but they don't bite.
This post probably didn't help much. Oh well back to pounding the pavement.

By far the best part of the SFL was the Edge DVDs. I am not a computer savy person. I am not sorry I bought the system it just did not work out for me. There are so many other good and better ways to spend my time than trying to learn new computer stuff. I still make money in REI with out the computer part of the SFL system. Taking action is still the way to make money in REI.

Stan, I am totally in the same boat with you and many others. When I went on SFL, I could enlarge the main screen, but when you went on one of the training items, it was so small you can't make it out.
We tried to enlarge it, and that part will not enlarge. I too gave up! It expired and I can't see paying the monthly payment if no one can help you with it.
Set For Life seems to work for a few, but Jen, I wish you lived close to me, I'd have you explain it.
My thoughts were, I paid for the DVDs' from the EDGE, guess we need to be glad we got that at least.

Hi everybody,
Thanks for all of your responses. I can understand the comments from those who are not computer savvy. The SFL system does require a little tech-knowledge.
I have gone through the entire system, read everything I could find and watched all of the classroom videos (some several times) and I understand the usefulness of the program. As a matter of fact, I got my first two leads from one of my squeeze pages today (although I'm not sure how they found me yet).
Jan - I too mailed postcards to all of the private money lenders that came through the Lead Pipes App. using the postcards that were for Cash Buyers but I haven't gotten any responses yet. For some reason, I can't get any cash buyer leads at all. I've tried emailing support about it several times but to no avail. I know that people in my area are buying properties with cash but they are just not showing up in my account.
Oh well, I'll just keep plugging away until something happens.
Good luck to everybody and keep me posted.

Hey Rick,
The no leads being driven COULD be on your county record side. I did contact support and change one of my counties I picked initially. It's a hot area and great market, but I believe that specific county still has typewriters and chalkboards. LOL ANY info is only as reliable as the sources from which it's pulling. Ex. if you try to pull a comp with total view, etc and get nothing back, or no current data......9/10 times that's probably the reason (no live data to pull from).
I know customer support allows you to change one time. Call and email them til you get a response. Tell them you aren't getting live feeds. Couldn't hurt changing to see if that's what doing it. Only two out of my top four target counties are active and current with today's technology.
Be blessed,
Jen
That sounds like it could be the problem. After all, I do live in Mississippi and even though I'm in the capital city, I would not be surprised if even they haven't upgraded yet. (They say we like to do things at our own pace around here - guess that's true.) I don't really have any other counties that I'm focused on at the moment so I think I'll just keep working on other angles to finding cash buyers.
Thanks again,
Rick

What I like and use every time I get a property under contract are the sellpoint features. I enter my photos and property information and blast that out to my buyers list, rehabbers and landlords. I entered all of MY buyers in SFL. They like the format that I send out. No SFL buyers from the squeeze page websites have produced any cash yet.
I have not gotten a single response from blasting out to all the various websites, don't think they actually make it there most of the time. No Buyers from power matching with fellow SFL subscribers either.
Over all I am happy with SFL, it is a very useful tool, I have not used a lot of the features available yet. Just email blast my properties to my buyers.
Really did not expect it to supply real buyers and sellers, no program or website will. Not enough to build a consistant business any way. You have to get out in the real(not virtual)world and meet people, bring them real deals that you have found through your MASSIVE marketing. REI meetings, bandit signs, fliers, networking, realtors, word of mouth etc.
I will be keeping SFL and expanding it's usage in my business.

I have imported all my buyers from my old excell sheet where I used to track them into the SFL system, and now as I get them I input their information there. It is a great way to sort & track buyers/renters ! There is a learning curve involved, but we are glad we are continuing to use the system--don't think we've even scratched the surface on what it can do. One complaint I have is in the buyers scripts, you can only put in the amount of rent they want to pay by the $1000's - I need to know which renters can pay what amount by the $100's at least. I too, have tried to blast a property we had available out there and had not results--not sure where that even goes!? I definately need to keep at it and learn more about the system, but if only to track buyers it is worth it to us.

I love SFL. I use it to organize my buyers, sellers, deals, I network on Crossroads, I also use very frequently the power matching and power linking. I have found about 4 buyers from networking on crossroads. As far as the squeeze pages they are not that great for us. We do not get many leads from that. But I do love the whole deal thing where you put in all the information and you can market it make a flyer and blast it on sell point. That and I can match it with other crossroad members and see if they have buyers that match for my property also visa versa.
