Hey Everyone, It's good to be back, well back writing on this site even though i haven't wrote much before. I will now! I just want to let everyone know my story before I bought Dean's books and how I am now not paralyzed by over-analysis or unmotivated anymore. I believe it was summer of 2007 a few months after I graduated high school when i was looking for someone to become like a banker, school teacher, doctor, any career that would get me ahead in life. But I thought about it, like how i will be working for the rest of my life until retirement or until God knows how long. I didn't like that plan at all and couldn't see myself being stuck in the rut for a long time. So i was having lots and lots of sleepless nights thinking what can I do to make a great investment in myself that can help my family (my mother works over 90 hrs a week at 2 jobs, while my father is having a hard time looking for a job after he was fired a few years ago.), and myself to financial freedom and keep learning more new things in life as i go and be successful.
So i saw Dean's infomercial on television one night and saw how what he said made sense unlike other garbage infomercials like internet millions , which is a scam by the way and made it that when you buy there product you will make money right away without much work. So I bought the book BARM, which i still did not read, and bought PFRRN, did not read, and now have YTYREP, which I am almost done (one week)reading and will reread a lot lol! And yes once I am done with this book i will read and finish other books in very little time. I am currently working as a medical coder in queens,NY and make a pretty good income, but still not satisfied with where I am at now bc I want to be a successful entrepreneur just like many of Dean's successful students like Joe and Stacey, Jan and Jeremy, etc.
I am motivated bc i have a vision of the future where I am very successful and out of the rat race where I can enjoy life more and have a great feeling after helping my parents financially and get them retired asap. Lately I've told many people friends, family, coworkers about what I will be doing soon, and already have some cash resources available bc of one of my relative who will help me money wise (until i pay him back later after the first deal) to start my investing soon. I've joined the REI success academy 5-6 months ago(haven't taken advantage of it until now)and I will DEFINITELY and positively be goig to the EDGE event 2011(already signed up). So right now my goal is to have my first deal done before May 15th, which is the event start date. I can't wait to meet everyone at the event(been also viewing and studying edge 2010 and empowering conversations!). I barely watch tv, I study what my career needs me to study, study real estate my way to and from work and breaks and at home when i have time. I am getting a better life and will meet you at the TOP!!!!

for replying to my journal, I am definitely keeping my fire burning because real estate is my passion and is a great way to get out of the rat race. To Valerie, you are right about taking advantage of the REI success academy, and I will be doing just that. I can't wait for my first deal and many more after that. I NEED to succeed so i won't depend and work forever at a J-O-B. I have to say too that i have entrepreneur blood in me because of my hard working grandfather and uncles who each own their own restaurant in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and one in Reading,Penn. They work their tails off and i under stand hard work ethic mentality since i used to work with them helping them out as a waiter/ dishwasher. My first job was actually being a dishwasher at age 12 in my grandfathers restaurant and that is my thick skin as an entrepreneur. So I love the idea of being an entrepreneur to become something more than just an employee of a company or someone else business. Dean has made me see the light of real estate investing even though it took me since 2007 to take action, now I am and feel like I can go anywhere if I just think differently and creatively !

I am direct to the VP of a $100 million dollar open-ended debt and equity fund which actively writes checks to fund businesses with an EBITDA of at least $1 million a year. We fund also have access to up to $500,000,000 for the purchase of distressed real estate, specially commercial $7,500,000 and up.
Does assigning properties work even in my area Queens, NY? I mean it is pretty expensive here in Queens like in my town houses cost between 400k - 800k. SO has anyone done an assignment of contract or find any tenant buyers and did what Greg Murphy implemented? I definetley need want to create cash this way so I can purchase income properties my self. thanks everyone!
