Hello to all DGer's I just want to start this out by saying that I am indeed new to the REI game but anyways I know it all started for me about a month ago when I was up late one night and saw Dean's infomercials. I've seen them from time to time before I actually stopped and listened to what he had to say that one night. I know I always recalled seeing him when I was flipping through the channels but I always thought that it was just "another" infomercial trying to get my money! For some reason or another I stopped and watched the entire infomercial and after that I knew that something hit me but I wasn't quick to take action I wanted to do some research and find out more and the more and more I discovered the more and more I got excited!! I thought about Dean's program and books etc for a few more days and asked myself what do I have to lose? So I went to the local bookstore picked up B.A.R.M and profit from real estate right now. I read all of B.A.R.M and man was my whole concept of REI broadened I was so amped and I then purchased your town your real estate profits along with think a little different about real estate and I can surely say I do now 110%!!! I will say with it being the holiday season I've been a little slow to take action and start changing my financial future so to say but now that everything is over with (for the most part) I am definitely starting out the new year with a bang (and just to throw a side note in I forgot to mention I am currently in Dean's success academy and am learning A LOT!!) I've got goals and I know with every action I take I will be a little closer and I will say these REI goals are gonna start small for now but as time passes I know they will get bigger and better NO DOUBT! I pretty much stay on DG.com for answers, support, motivation and anything else that will help me along the way to my "American Dream". I also see all of you guys........and girls on here and what you do that gives me great inspiration to keep moving forward no matter what! And I know how to do that believe me I've had experience, I have recently came home from a tour in Afghanistan and learned a lot while over there to say the least but I now see real estate as something new, fun, and very exciting for me!! I can honestly say I don't think I've been excited and highly motivated like this about anything (besides coming home from deployment lol!) I know that I've made a choice to change my future for the better and let NOTHING stop it. I know I'm just a youngbuck but I know there's no time like the present, and with all the knowledge I've gained so far from Dean's material to all of you here on DG.com and the motivation and determination moving me forward I know nothing will be impossible with REI!! I just want to thank you all for everything that ya'll do especially Dean Graziosi himself because without his knowledge and wisdom well I don't think I'd even be on DG.com in the first place!! I WILL BE GIVING UPDATES AS OFTEN AS I CAN to be able to let everyone know what's going on and to be able to look back one year, two years, even ten years from now to see where it all started. I'M going after this American Dream MY American Dream and gonna take action, take down those goals and set even higher ones. 2011 WILL BE MY YEAR and every year after that for that matter!! As I said previously I will give updates as OFTEN as I can. Here's to 2011......May I wish you all the best and much much success!!

One of my favorite quotes from B.A.R.M. that Dean put out...
I'm not afraid of failing. I'm afraid of living a boring life.

and another to be honest I loved it so much I have to put it on here (By the way I don't remember who wrote this)

Welcome to the family! It is truly the best!
You will love it here! It does not matter that you are starting with no knowledge of RE. Just read Deans books over and over and just start reading everything on here that you can.
If you are looking for info on anything in particular, type it into the box on the top left of the page and click your "enter" key. Do not click on the magnifying glass! It is only there to look "cute". It doesn't DO anything, except confuse the new people.
Do NOT refer to yourself as a "newbie" (which you didn't). It irritates the veterans here (LOL) because you have to start out having the proper mindset! Think of yourself as a real estate investor. (Just one that doesn't know much about it yet )
Do NOT say, "Somebody please tell me what to do to start out!" Read the books! They will tell you everything!
That said, we REALLY are nice!
Best wishes! You will do great! And starting at your age--AWESOME!!! There are a number of young guys and girls on here and they are doing wonderful jobs and making lots of cashola!

You are at the right site at the right time to start your REI career. There are many great seasoned investors here that will help you along the way. Karen told you to look up topics in the upper left hand corner, and this tool is very valuable. Read and study and then do it again, and always stay on this site. Deals will come and go which you will learn about, but the most important thing here is to NEVER GIVE UP on your dreams. Much success to you...Jan
Both for the comments and the good words of wisdom. I plan on making this my number one page I visit and I've been on this site soo much for the past several days and have already learned A LOT and want to learn MORE! I've even gotten to the point where I have made this my homepage so it's the FIRST thing I accomplish when I get online so that way I can get on here and keep updated as much as possible and post updates and questions that I may have along the way. Again thank you both for that little extra motivation because that's one of the main things that keep me moving forward in this world of REI!!

Okay well I got up and went to town today to speak with a few real estate individuals I had questions on assignments of contract and whether or not it was legal in the state of GA. Well I first spoke with about 3 different RE attorneys and those guys pretty much got me no sort of useful info....I then proceeded to go talk with a realtor and he said his investor clients did it all the time so at that point I thought I had my question answered and he the referred me to his great RE attorney friend next door so I said why not? what do I have to lose? and to my surprise he sat me down and explained a lot of different key information and to go ahead and sum this long drawn out day up he said that there would be certain legalities that i would be up against with other realtors and RE agents and that it would be best to go with a purchase and sales agreement for my start up investing and to be honest there were other things the he drew pictures out for me but still did NOT understand so again I will go tomorrow and take another step towards this American Dream!
Until the next update,
TheYungGun

Welcome to the DG Family. I have only been apart of it for a 4 weeks now, but, I have had sooo much support from people like Kareng and Jan and Jim Kendrick and many others. They do follow up with your posts and it's exhilarating knowing veterans want to help you! You will definitely be supported here.
I know you are new as well, but, you seem to be making strides. Keep with it and great things will happen! Me personally, I am proud of myself just for finally taking action - you can read my journal at lisag2010 . Keep journalling so you and others can read your progress. You'll be glad you did. I love reading other journals from start to finish. You can motivate others with your journal.
Just keep on keepin' on!

Thanks for the comment man I really appreciate it. I'm taking this all one day at a time and have learned a lot along the way...and have lots of plans for this new exciting well should I call this a career or what? lol! Well I know that it's gonna be a long but very good and prosperous road. For the investor club the closest one for me is about 2 and a half hours away! It'd gonna be hard to get involved with those circumstances, and I also must say thanks for the support I am honored to have served my country I am proud and I stand tall whether it be for my country or me and my family's well being! Keep the updates coming too by the way.
Much success,
TheYungGun
