I like to know if that's okay in price?
"In consideration for the services provided by the Firm under this agreement, the
Company agrees to pay the Firm a retainer of $2,000.00. The retainer will be refunded,
to the extent it has not been utilized in fees and costs related to your representation, upon
resolution of this matter.
I will be the attorney responsible for this matter and it has been explained that we
will bill our normal hourly rates of $200.00, against the retainer. In addition, my
paralegal, may work on this case at the rate of $75 per hour. These rates may increase
from time to time, but only to the extent of periodic increases for all similar clients."
Thanks for all the support everyone.

If a client is bringing you a deal, what else other than the normal work would you need to charge for???
Most times attorneys charge no more than $1K for a standard closing.
It sounds like you will be paying through the nose with this attorney. Best keep looking.

Hard to determine if the fees are appropriate without knowing what services are provided...
I have attorneys that do much of my work for $26 per month unlimited (Prepaid Legal Services) and other attorneys I pay $400+ per hour for other services.
You get what you pay for when it comes to legal services.
Know what you need, and pay for it accordingly.

If it is to be, it is up to me.
Prepaid Legal (now known as Legal Shield) is who I use for all of my legal services except my closings. And, the closing attorney gets paid when I actually close on a deal, so there is no retainer.

It's a great tool to use to help analyze your deals (and did I mention it's FREE)! But, you really should spend the $97 and get the full premium edition! IT'S AWESOME!!
That's awesome, good to know there's a lot options out there

Pre paid legal is great to use
First and foremost - ask a lot of questions and shop around. Prepaid legal is a great resource but don't take the first attorney that you talk to. Make sure that he has your best interest at hand and most definitely shop around. Attorneys vary and you may go through a couple before you settle with one that you end up having a long term relationship with.
Happy Attorney hunting!
