Like others; it would be great to take advantage of your More than generous offer but, only if you were closer. It could be a wonderful opportunity and really goes to show that you are all about giving back!

Distance should not be a factor when real knowledge and free advice awaits at the other side. Its not like you guys have to walk or ride your horse. Today we can get anywhere in hours.

It just depends if what you seek is worth your effort!

I had only scheduled two appointments for today and guess what? Neither of them showed up AND neither of them called to cancel. It doesn't bother me in the long run because I have enough paperwork to complete (three private placement memorandum) that will make me some serious money. However, I was hoping to take a little time out to forge a few new friendships with some beginning investors. Obviously, that didn't pan out.

In closing, I still have a couple of appointments left for the other three days of my office bound existence (1/20, 1/25, 1/27). Just call my Cincinnati office and speak with me to grab them if you wish.

how they not only didn't take advantage of the opportunity to gain some free
knowledge, but not to even have the decency to call & cancel ... that is just not good business practice.

How far from Columbus are you? When you fly where do you fly out of. I'm in So FL and I can't find a flight into Cinci, Columbus is no problem. I just had my next week free up and would like to possible take advantage of your generosity.

I think the lack of common decency is what gets me the most too. I was brought up with the concept that courtesy is free.

I believe I'll be spending a lot of time at our Florida office in late February and early March. Save your airfare and you can buy me a big lunch (LOL) when I come down. I'll PM you with my dates when I know them.

Let me know when your down, I'll even go for a nice dinner somewhere. People are ignorant and don't care about other peoples time. This is a prime example,you are offering free advise which is priceless and they can't even call to say we can't make it. Things happen and schedules change but a phone call or email is nothing. I have that problem now with my landscape business and it definately is frustrating.

I own a landscaping company as well (actually, I started it for my son) so we will have plenty to talk about. This is the second landscaping company that I have owned. First one was started in 1986 and I sold it in 1989 as I grew the business so fast through my marketing that it was lucrative to sell it. I am thinking about starting a plant/tree farm in Ohio. Also, had an indirect ownership interest in a plant farm in Pierson FL. So we have lots to talk about.

Nice offer Bill. Next time we are in the Ohio area I would like to look you up. If you are ever in the Sacramento area look us up.

If students live near you Bll they should take you up on your offer if they really want to learn REI.

I don't have any sitters or family to watch the kids or I'd jump on a plane! (And I am not fond of flying!) If you're ever in Southern California, and can withstand the interruptions of children, would love to meet up and bounce off ideas (hear so much of your knowledge!). What a great opportunity those two no shows missed!

Heck Bill, All of us DG'ers in California ought to get together and organize a meeting place, fly you out here to have a DG California Family Reunion, LOL.

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio (live now in Seattle). I'm thinking of doing some investing back in my home town. I'm wondering if you do an investing there, or know of someone who does. Any DG'ers in Cleveland?
