I made my first 500.00 on bird dogging, I sent a lead to one of my cash buyers, he wants more leads from me!

Whooo Hoooo! The DG women are truly kicking but! I get so excited every time I read a success story from a woman ( not that the men are not exciting) but men have always been the ones successful in real estate investing. It has, in a way, generally been a "mans" world. I love hearing a woman's story how she has beat all odds and made it happen.
As a mother and wife I know all to well how challenging it can be to be successful in real estate and still manage a family. To see sooo many women here on DG stepping up and being successful is so AWESOME!

Unless we count the fact that I bought my own house on a Nehemiah loan in the year 2000 and recently fought to save it from foreclosure. Possession is nine tenths of the law as my Dad use to say and by keeping my cool I was able to get a modification. I will get deals or die trying. It is a must as my why is 3 reasons. One - I must show myself that I can do it and become the person God intended me to be. Two - I have no one to depend on but myself and can not count on government to take care of me, so I must provide for the winter of my life. And Three - I must be able to help feed the poor and the hungry. It is only when I put that oxygen mask on and help myself first that I will be able to help others.
Now I have come to realize my biggest obstacle. You must first know the problem before you can come up with a solution. I am finally able to see and admit to my obstacle/problem. I always knew deep down it was me but was not able to define it until yesterday. The problem is social anxiety. There. I said it. It stems from familial conditioning from the time I was born. My parents did not get along and fought with each other all the time. This caused a lot of fear and emotional issues and caused me to go quiet and deep inside of myself to survive. Dad had a horrible temper. Even so he is the one I respected as I was very observant as to what was the cause of his temper. I was the first born and then out of five pregnancies I got two younger siblings. By the time I was 13 my family was broken by divorce. Lots of people experience that I know. The only thing that saved me and got me to where I am is divine intervention and accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior by age 6. We attended a Baptist church on an irregular basis and I was given a King James version. I now use the New American Standard version for study and better understanding and have for years used that version.
A lot of people are affected by social anxiety and do not realize it or know how to deal with it. I would say that is probably the biggest reason that a lot of people do not make it to the 2% and give up. It is also why pharmaceutical companies are cashing in. There is a pill for everything these days and pills do not fix the anxiety problem. Since I now realize that is the problem I am working on fixing it. The first thing I have to do is push myself harder to go into the uncomfortable zone. It is going to be like REI in that you make your money or profit going into the deal. So I will use that example to formulate the solution for my problem. It is about calculated risk so I have to do also the due diligence to correct my problem.
Anywho Anyhow - I have now exposed myself to the whole DG family. My younger brother and sister do not even know of this. We communicate but it is not the best.
Now I have work to do in the form of making bandit signs and making phone calls. Since I have know money I have to use what I have and make my own signs out of cardboard boxes.
OK Ladies and Gents. Since I am claiming you as family please let me feel your love and if you have ideas and tips on how I can work thru this, I would be forever grateful.
