DG Fam,
It seems like having a business entity/LLC is needed to get a POF letter. Is that a requirement to have or will these websites I've been referred to complete one for you with the LLC? I am planning to get one but just want to know if it's a requirement.
Thanks,
Bernard

No an LLC is not needed to get a POF letter. You can put Mickey Mouse in the name if you want. Good luck!

They do not require a biz entity to get the POF, but most all DO require one to actually GET the funding.

I don't know what POF sites you been on but try this one ABCFundingUSA dot com, you do not need an LLC to get a POF. If they ask for you to put a company name just click on the box and press the space key a couple of times, you should be fine. You won't have to enter anything in that field when you press the space bar. Hope this helps

as Karen stated, if you just need a POF letter to put a property under contract, you don't need a LLC; you can just use whatever business name you may want to use in the future? However, make sure you state that you want the letter under the name in which you are signing the contract (i.e. your name).
If you plan on borrowing the funds from the transactional lending company to close or double close a deal, then you will need to apply for a LLC...

Thanks everyone! I was just wondering because I did look at the sites some of you suggested and they had the area where business name was with an * to indicate it was mandatory to fill in that area. But since I know only if I am going to use the transitional funding then I am clear now.
Thanks again!

Thanks again!

For the POF, even though that blank is titled Business Name, just type in your name and that will print on the letter.
And it is call Transactional Funding not Transitional. I initially had a difficult time remembering the term on that one, too. Just remember, you need it just for this particular "transaction".
