Local Networking and Discussion

Come to REIC meeting in Los Angeles TONIGHT!

Hi everyone,

I've had several people ask me about local REICs so thought I would post upcoming meetings as they happen. You can also go to the LA Investors group that I just started so that all of us in the area can network and bounce ideas off of one another on how to further our RE goals.

REIC of LA is holding their monthly meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 13. Meetings are held at the Radisson Hotel, 6161 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90230. Arrive at 6:30 to network and check in. Meeting begins at 7:30.

Hope to see you there! Please let me know if you plan to attend so that we can be sure to meet each other in person.

Can an INTROVERT like me actually be good at networking?

So, I started going over my networking list portion of the success academy and how 60% of your business comes from networking. The lesson goes on and talks about going to a networking event to meet people and going up and talking to strangers. ***GULP*** Barf! Now, if I talk with someone first online it isn't so bad; but COLD CUT talking to strangers in person scares the heck out of me!

I am looking for short sale / no equity leads!! I will pay $1000 per lead In the following areas...

Hey DG Community,

I am focusing a majority of my efforts into doing short sales this year. I have a great system set up and we are taking them in and banging them out. We close on about 50-60% of the short sales we do. If you refer a lead to us that is a possible short sale, we will pay you $1000 if we end up buying the property.

This is a great way to get started in REI if you have no money or credit and want to get your feet wet. These leads are everywhere and I want to help the members here on Dean's site see the light with real estate. You could make an easy $4000 a month just referring 2 short sale leads a week to me. This goes for wholesalers as well. If you are a wholesaler just throwing your short sale and no equity leads away, please send them over to me and get paid!

Looking for a Tampa Realtor...any recommendations?

My business partner and I are in the process of dissolving our business and have one more property to sell. We are upside down on this property and will have to short it (long story). Is anyone out there working in the Tampa area and able to recommend a good, aggressive Realtor? I've googled Tampa real estate and even called a few title companies for suggestions, but all the glitz and glamour doesn't always sell properties. I know that this is kind of a strange request since most of us are looking to buy and I'm looking for help to sell.

ATTENTION Washington State RE Investors - Dean's 3-day Training for FREE

Hi everyone,

I'm a new real estate investor from Tacoma/Lakewood, so I'm learning from/with anyone I can. I'm looking for other beginning investors like me.

As you read this, please know that I'm not trying to sell you anything. I'm only looking to network or help someone out.

On the 16-18 of this month (9-5 each day), I'm going to a 3-day real estate training course in Seattle. It's supposedly taught by a pretty knowledgeable & successful investor & he's giving us everything he's learned, packed into those 3 days.

Help!!!

Hey DG family. Here is one of my strategies for building my buyers list. I am having some flyers made that say " I sell houses below fair market value! CALL NOW!" I might even use another one and pass them around at apartment complexes that say " why rent when you can own for the same monthly payment? Let me help you find your dream home! CALL NOW!" These flyers will be done on "golden rod" color of paper. What do you guys think?? I know there are forums that talk about building your buyers list but I just want some opinions? Do these sound legit, simple, and catchy? Anything else I should add to them or take away?

Thanks DG fam. Happy investing!!

REI Clubs

Although I think this is a GREAT forum for us all to exchange ideas, share our success stories and provide encouragement to newbies like me, does anyone belong to an investment club? I have never been to one (aside from DG's on-line club here) so I don't really know what they do.

Are there any investors out there who are members of a REI Club? If so, what do you do at these clubs? My primary focus is to study and absorb as much as I can from DG, his staff and you all, but I am always looking to broaden my horizons. If an investment club is worth joining, can anyone recommend one in Cape May or Atlantic Counties? If not, would anyone be interested in starting one in a centralized location for Southern New Jersey?

Best wishes for continued success in all your endeavors

WHERE WOULD YOU INVEST?

I would like to know what city and state DG members invest in and why? I would really appreciate it if you could answer this question. It will help me know where i should move to next since I'm in the military and I would like to choose an affordable destination for investing. In my opinion I chose these states to pick from (not the specific city since I'm not from there) because the median price range is low so it gives a good open window for me to start in. Here are the following states I chose:

Alabama
Arkansas
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Oklahoma
Texas
Wisconsin

So please write the city and state you would prefer to invest in and why. Does not have to be from the above choices, but atleast from somewhere you would suggest and why. Thank you very much...
