Would like to network with DG family members in NYC

Hello everyone, I'm finishing reading deans books and would like to connect with others maybe in a group setting...I'm starting my buyers list and interviewing RE Agents...looking to learn from others who are willing to offer ideas and advice...I believe in Dean's words of encouragement and that of his students...I hope to be a part of this New Family.

NYC: Deals don't knock on your door; go out and find them

To my DG family,

To understand how the market is, you must be in the market. Meaning if you're home on the computer all the time looking for deals and things are going slow for you, its probably because you're not outside where the deals are.

I understand most of us have responsibilities like kids, jobs, etc but if this is going to work for you, you've got to make the time, even if its once a week or a few hours. Networking events, church(yes, business deals get done in church) andything real estate related where at the end you're not buying a product, though those arent bad either, open houses, fitness centers, etc.

ALWAYS!!!! be in RE mode.

Tired of Hoping!

Hi, My name is Shawn Downey and I am trying to start my business in Real Estate! I have read many books and all of Dean's except his new one. I know inside and out about buying and selling with no credit, no money yet i have done the things like craigslist, Kijji ads to build buyers list, yet only a few responses. I have looked at properties and I feel like nothing is working as it used too. I have no money to join the academy and or a reia group in cincinnati but my heart has been real estate for years now and still cant seem to put the puzzle together. Vermont Networking

Hello fellow DGers:
I have been looking for REIC's in the Central Vermont (Rutland County) area with no success. I have even called local real estate offices and asked them if they are aware of any clubs, but they state things like, "I have no idea what you are talking about". I do see some posts from Maine and other New England states but I am truly trying to find someone who has experience with this part of new england. Vermont has a large 2nd home base and a large recreational feel to it. So if anyone is in the know about any REIC in the area could you let me know?
