Local Networking and Discussion

I've not seen or heard much talk of this, but I for one have found it to be a wealth of information. Both locally as well as other areas I am doing market research to potentially invest in.

It's the local City Planning Commission, City Council Meetings, Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Resource Centers. They are a wealth of information. I will literally log into the City/County sites and read the last several months of meeting minutes. You will discover a ton of information as to what is going on 'live' in those areas, projected projects, proposals and submits for approvals, zoning changes, ordinance grantings and prohibitations just to name a few.

I am BRAND new to real estate. My parents partnered with a mentor, who also is helping me, however he is increasingly unreliable and unavailable.

I am looking to partner with someone who can show me the ropes and take me under their wing so to speak. I know a little, mostly what I have read from Deans's book,youtube'd and dug up on my own.

If anyone is on here that has done this for awhile successfully wouldnt mind helping, I would really appreciate it.

Anyone wholesaling or bird dogging in Pittsburgh area, mainly around Coraopolis, away from the river, past 5th St?

I'm actively looking for buy/hold deals right now, in that region, 3-bed (max) SFH, 1 bath, the "Pittsburgh shower" is a plus, up to 70K. I'm not a cash buyer unless it's under 30K. Working with financing. Bringing in my agent/prop manager on the deal.

Lincoln, Nebraska looks like a great market. Local agents say they're "in a bubble", quite protected, unlike the Las Vegas Market I'm in. Is anyone already investing (or interested) in Lincoln or Omaha? If so, please share. I'd like to to do a deal there now.
