I hope I have the correct forum. I called to find out about what kind of training services are offered, as I am a new agent and want help others, and I was being sold on being an investor.

I am brand spanking new, having my license only since the end of August. I have read 2 of Dean's books over the summer and want to be a bird dog, as I believe it is called, and network to help others find property.

I am so excited that I found my local agent to work with. She is such a go-getter, and said she would be happy to work with me. I had no reason to stall. I am getting things done. Tammy

I have called four REI clubs today, and they are all disbanded. I am still looking. Wonder if I will have to go hours from home to attend one. Anybody having similiar problems? Maybe I should start one. Tammy

Can anyone tell me if I need to go to other investor sites to find investors looking for birddogs? I am on this site and linkedin, but that is it. Thanks, Tammy

I am wondering especially from those that have a good network on linkedin how you go about accepting people that you don't know. I mean particularly people that want you to network so they can sell something to you. For instance a guy wanting to sell marketing materials. Another person wants me to sign up on his links to do business with him. I am thinking I will get bombarded with spam mail if not careful. I also understand part of this is networking, but where to draw the line. Thanks for your advice. I have no intentions to sign up on someones site that I don't know.

ok, so I know how most of you have this deep disdain for agents/brokers, some understandable, most I believe a case of your own fault or not truly understanding.

And you also know I am one of the few champions of the cause of defending the ways of my licensed brethren, so i'd like to perhaps quell some of the madness I often see on this site by offering some insight on the why's and why nots of the actions of agents.

Ask away and my answers will be mostly from personal experiences and some from assumptions of actions.
