In the 1980 film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Yoda first appeared.

Yoda coined two very good quotes that are very applicable to everything we do.

1) [Yoda:] "Do or do not...there is no try"
2) [Luke:] "I can’t believe it." [Yoda:] "That is why you fail.”

I have seen and heard over my years of mentoring and training people refer to their business as "I am looking to invest in {area}". Or they may say or write "I want to invest in single family residences".

I invest in Houston, Texas. I invest in single family residences and commercial.

We are a Utah Limited Liability Company doing business in Tennessee, where we live. As required, we have registered with the State of TN as a foreign LLC doing business in TN and have quitclaimed a TN property we own into the Utah LLC.
We want to set up a second Utah LLC because we own another TN property that we want to quitclaim into this second Utah LLC, and here’s the question: Since we will not be doing business under the second Utah LLC—only using it to hold ownership of the second TN property—do we have to register the second LLC in Tennessee?

The definition of Freedom is "the power to determine action without restraint." WOW! What a powerful word... FREEDOM! This one word contains POWER, DETERMINATION and ACTION.

The definition of "restraint" is a control over the expression of one's emotions or thoughts. Freedom is POWER, DETERMINATION and ACTION. "without restraint"... without anyone or anything controlling your emotions or thoughts.

Therefore FREEDOM IS HAVING POWER< DETERMINATION TO TAKE ACTION WITHOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING BEING ABLE TO CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS OR THOUGHTS... IN ESSENCE THERE IS NOT A FORCE IN THIS WORLD STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD YOU BACK... NOW THAT'S FREEDOM!

I just spent the weekend with 4 nephews who are 25, 23, 21 and 13 years old. These guys lost both parents withing 6 months of each other two years ago.

These young men are amazing to me. They are each thriving and doing well in their lives. They keep in SERIOUS touch with each other. The three older brothers do not forget to include their younger brother in important activities.

They have not forgotten their parents. However, the four of them keep living and striving to meet their goals in ways their parents would be proud. In the beginning it was simply putting one foot in front of the other. By so doing they kept moving forward.

If you guys have questions about your business please respond to this post. Lets try to get this chain going for a long time with a lot of frequently asked questions so that anyone new to this site can follow the chain and get questions answered that are normal for newbies.

Lets help out some of the new students get going and making money in this business. Its always hard to get started but if we assist them they can do it.

I realize and appreciate the importance of my getting my due diligence done before I present a property to a developer or investor but I'm a bit OVERWHELMED as to how to do it.

I found over 6 acres of vacant land for 150K in Southern Ca. Homes around there are selling for a million dollars. However, there is a lot of undeveloped land there.

It's been suggested, I answer the questions below. I'm not sure how to go about it. If you any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Greg

1) What is the land zoned for?

2) Is the land developed or undeveloped?

3) Has there been any surveys or soil reports?

4) Can the lot be subdivided?

5) What is the allocation per lot?

6) How many houses per acre acre are allowed?

How is it that i see people on this site asking questions about assigning a deal, or what is wholesaling, and they may have 18 posts and like 48 points but yet they still have badges like knowledge discovery, and contribution? I guess i don't understand how the badges work/what they are for. I was just wondering how it works.
