Before meeting my husband, I went through 2 unsuccessful marriages, had 2 children in my first marriage, worked for 21 years at Hormel Foods in Austin, Minnesota, and met my current husband online. Between the two of us we have 6 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 dogs.
My husband and I have been married for 5 years, and I have lived in Colorado for 6 years.
My husband is a Wireline Operator working in the oil and gas fields. I stay at home and take care of the house and the dogs.
I went to school for banking and finance back in the late 70's and have never had an opportunity to put that knowledge to work. Now 40 years later my husband sees this infomercial and has me call and order the books. I started reading "Be a Real Estate Millionaire" the day it arrived. I had a real hard time putting it down, but when I did I did get back to it for 2 days. I then picked it back up and didn't put it down until I was done with it, then I started reading the second book "Profit From Teal Estate Right Now". I am happy to say I finished this evening. It only took two days. The little squirrels in my head are in hyper drive! There is a foreclosure overload in this area, and what amazes me is they are still building new houses that nobody can afford. Me being from Minnesota, when we purchased our home in 2006 (a 2000 single wide mobile home,3 bd 2 ba and a half acre of undeveloped land) for 125k I thought it was nuts! I could have picked up the same thing in MN for half that! Now looking in the real estate ads at what we really want to live in, I have to come up with at least 300k for a house that would list for 175k in MN.
So my goal for this year is to profit enough to get into (not my dream home) a real house with enough room and land for my dogs and grandchildren to play.
