Whats the best way to get foundation estimate and get a true cost from different bids? Yes I know average but how do I know they have it right?

I'm not a handy man or contractor. I'm a motivated investor learning the ins and outs of this biz.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there that could maybe give me some general tips on basic, general rehab costs.
For example, a typical bathroom would cost X, a kitchen would cost Y, 15 windows would be $____.
Just something general so when I am walking through a property I can have a general idea of key rehab costs?
Once received I'll be sure to share with the community..
Thank you in advance!

I have a quick question, I was talking to my agent and we was talking about as is homes. I told her that one of the things I was looking for are homes that is listed as is. She said that most of the homes that are as is have major problems and once the price is agreed by the seller and whoever I give it to that we can have the seller fix it up. My question is do I still want as is if most of them have major problems?
Thank you

If anyone is looking for some reliable contractors in the Broward County, FL area, feel free to send me a personal message.
If you would like to provide contractor information to help investors in your area, type the area you are from in the subject line. I think this could help those of us who are looking to invest outside their home towns/states and have been hesitant to for fear of not being able to put together a reliable team.
I need to know about fix and flips from start to finish. I want know where to find the best deals and how. I want to know what the process is from start to finish. How to build a reputable team to be successful. Are there any books or training seminars that teach about fix and flips?
DG FAM,
I understand that finding a contractor can be difficult. So as for me, starting out in wholesaling and not getting involved in rentals or flipping, what is the best way to find a contractor(able to estimate the entire home) to do the estimates on a home that accepted your offer? Also, I am a novice on doing estimates on rehab costs. Do I just make an offer without including rehab estimates first, get in on contract, then bring a contractor to do the estimates and make amends to the offer acceptance? Basically ripping up the contract and making a new one for adjustments of repair costs? Uggggggghhhh!!!!! I'm thinking too much but it's happening in my sleep.... Focusing on winning!

I am wondering if there is a contract/note for a private investor willing to put up the money for a rehab on a property owned free and clear? Fixing to sell.
Thanks
In October of 2013, I did a case study about a fix and flip I had just purchased. The article how to fix and flip a houses; case study #1, discussed the costs, repairs and potential profit on the fix and flip. I sold the property on May 23, 2014 for a nice profit, but things did not go exactly as I planned. The repairs were much more than I planned for, but I also sold the property for more than I thought. I had some major problems with my contractor on this property and it took way to long to repair and sell. I also learned a lot about how to improve my fix and flipping business with this property.
