It is hard to believe that we are in our 5th week of the RBBP program. I will miss the 9pm EST calls. I just got a call about joining the Success Academy. I am on the fence without knowing the details or the cost. It seems like the RBBP has given me plenty to keep me busy...

You might want to see how well you do taking action with the RBBP information. You should be able to get some deals done with that information if you take action. Lets say you are taking action got a deal done but you want to go to the next level then join the academy. We have been using the academy for 2yrs now and we love it. But no mater what program you are in you have to take action.

I have just registered to attend the 3day workshop! I went to a presentation in Allentown, PA and got pumped up! I have read 2 of Dean's books. I'm half way through 30 Days to RE Cash! Just got the RE Millionaire book on CD, free!

I have already made my first offer on an REO. I don't think they took me serious though. We'll see. I'm gonna call the agent today. He hasn't responded to my email on validation that he actually submitted my offer. Anyway, he introduced me to a lady at a settlement company. She seems ok with my intentions. Meeting her today.
Can't say for sure that you should or should not attend at this time. But I'll let ya know what I think in a couple of weeks!

I am expecting a call back from the Academy this Friday and I also have not made up my mind about joining the Academy. I have no idea what the cost is. I'm sure it is worth it, but right now I don't have the money. But I may join later.
The one good thing about the Success Academy is that they are not going anywhere, and if one can't join now, one will always be able to join at a later time.
Thank you Steve and Veronica. I have been taking action. I feel like I've laid down all the ground work and am in a position to really do what matters. My short term goal is to complete my first deal by my birthday in Dec. Maybe if I meet that goal, then joining the SA could be my birthday gift. That is a pretty nice reward to strive towards..

I was offered the option to purchase tickets for a workshop in Nov when I purchased the RBBP but given that we were spending so much for the RBBP, I wasn't ready to attend a workshop. But would love to in the future.

I too attended a work shop, spent 1800.00 and that was a discount of 10% I think because I was a success academy student. The three days is to get you to invest further (More $$) into another program, too high roller for my blood, but walked away with some good info just not sure I'm better off now, still sticking with what I did buy: the success academy.

Very useful response. Do you feel like it is realistic to do the 5 deals in a year with the info provided during the SA so that you earn your money back?

I just found out that the workshop i'm going to attend in PA is specifically geared toward my real estate market here in the Lehigh Valley, PA. this is going to be different info than what's taught in Success Academy.

If you need hand-holding and want to speed up the process, consider joining the Success Academy. Also, the Success Academy will probably help you avoid common pitfalls to newbies, which could essentially make or break a deal. Just depends how confident you are.
If you're a go-getter, you should be able to land your first deal with the RBBP info plus Dean's books (that's a lot of info!).
It all comes down to how good you are at getting 'unstuck'. If you're pretty good at asking questions and learning, then I don't think you would need to use the Advisory line much. If not, it's a great tool that keeps you moving forward.
I'd like to make my first deal pay for RBBP itself with some money left, so I'm doing it myself. Definitely will consider joining Success Academy in the future, I'm pretty sure I'll learn a whole lot from the mentors.
Strictly my own views, I'm sure others have different opinions. Just do what you're comfortable with

you need to look at things carefully. There are many educational opportunities in real estate from many different vendors. Pricing is all over the place because real estate is a large purchase and vendors attempt to leverage that fact against your possible future earnings. Most real estate techniques can be learned from books, reading rei websites and forums, talking and networking to other investors. Guard your cash as that is the one thing that can help you in your real estate career. Before spending, think of the other options you have for the same money. As an example, if someone says their program costs $10,000, then think about how many lease options you could do with the same money; or how much marketing you can do with the same money; etc. Once your money is gone, it's gone!

i took the investment and signed up for the success academy. i have used a combo between deans books and the advisory line with the coaches. the info in the academy is good but iam not very good on self teaching and academics plus i dont have the patience to sit through all the classes and info. I want a deal done now!!! but yes avoding pitfalls and having experts you can call anytime during the day is priceless. plus you cant beat the 100 percent money back guarantee if you get the 5 deals done!!!

my opinion is that there is everything you need in the rbbp to get deals done and moving but again it depends on how motivated you are, self teaching, taking information and being successful with it. advisory line has helped me alot

Thank you for everyone's comments and advice. It was instrumental in making my decision. I really want this career change to work and it makes sense to get the best start possible so, I joined. Greg Murphy said he wished he joined the SA earlier in the EDGE 2011 DVDs and I couldn't get that out of my head. We were offered 3 packages. Very interesting, but we went with the conservative and least expensive option.
I joined because I am stuck in my market analysis and want to learn how to do this well. I also know my personality and will have no problem making the best use of the hotline. I do feel like I overpaid ($7,750), but I plan on making my 5 deals and recovering the investment. Having said that, I really wanted to go for the top end deal, which included an asset protection kit or web design kit and a 3 day conference with Dean, but I couldn't justify the $15,815 when I am just getting started.

You will be glad you joined. As far as the other stuff goes you do not need that right now. Learn how to close the deal then worry about the other stuff latter. You can always look up information on LLCs and Scorps at your Secratary of State web site.

thanks everyone, for all your comments! I joined and waiting for my first call tomorrow to have a head start! I feel more confident in having some resources to count on, I kind of stuck on my RBBP coz I caught myself looking for excuses not to send in the offers, due to the unknown fear of "what's gonna happen if I get the property". I think having someone on the line where I can consult anytime would make a huge difference in my action. Most of us need little push from behind! (Or should I just speak for myself)
Am I the only one having fear out there? ( I mean being with the agent at the site and didn't know what to look for? Yet try to pretend I'm an investor even though Dean just gave us the title a month ago!

There are so many people teaching so many things out there and at varying prices, so it all depends on where you are coming from, what you know and where you want to go. I joined the Success Academy after ordering Dean's books and in fact hadn't even read them yet. All the information was really new to me and very overwhelming at first, but totally worth it. I will never regret spending that money....and I didn't do 5 deals in a year. It just took me awhile to get started and I started building from the very bottom.
Since then I've ordered Empowering Conversations, went to The EDGE 2010 and finally sent in my video last month (maybe it will get posted this year). I still think Dean's programs are some of the very best and haven't bought all of them either. There is still information I haven't used, but I also learned I can only do one step at a time and now I have binders of info to refer to! In time I will try every strategy!
