I just got some zip-ties so I can put my signs up on those metal poles and to avoid damage putting the signs up in other places.
My question is how much more would people care if I put one of my signs up on a stop-sign with a zip tie tied onto the support pole? Anyone tried this and if so were the results good bad or ugly?
I know that results will vary from place to place, but would this brand a special kind of attention from the sign nazi's or worse, the police?
Thanks

I agree with longhorn. Seems like they might draw the wrong kind of attention.![Shocked Shocked](https://760015.krfdn.asia/modules/smileys/packs/example/shock.png)
Joe,
Let's put it this way: on the bright side, if you did it, you probably wouldn't have to worry about being fed and taken care of for the rest of your life, but lights-out is at 11.![Eye-wink Eye-wink](https://760015.krfdn.asia/modules/smileys/packs/example/wink.png)

It all depends on what the city code or ordnance allows because in the town where I work at I have posted two signs and both were removed pretty quick to where I did not get a single call and both were on a very well traveled street in town. After posting the second sign I was called on my 800 number and requested that I call them back pertaining to my signs and no I did not call back either as I am not looking to pay any fines so one is best to ask about the city or town codes first if they are allowed or not and save some trouble.

Think about this for a minute. If someone has a wreck are runs the stop sign In a court of law you would be held liable. Don't take my word for it check with a attorney. To many place to put signs for me to take the risk.

Stay Away from almost if not ALL city property. No Matter what city or area. A Handsome and Great Alternative that I use is more "PORTABLE" methods such as: Pouring some concrete in a coffee can or tub, bucket or box, Adding a wooden 2" x 2" then, Stapling or tacking your Sign or Billboard to this Portable Stand. Which NOW you can relocate at virtually any location without damage or concern for ruin to property.
I usually make these weighted stands about 15-25lbs. the heavier ones come in handy on windier days. You can then pick up and re-position at early or late times of the day or weekends before any issues arise.

If the township calls about our signs, ask to talk to the codes department and ask them who is in violation of overgrown grass and building codes, start building a repore with them you never know its who you know not what you know!

You may need people from the code department someday to work out something good for you. I would not upset the code department. I am sure there are a lot of other places you can place signs. Have you called the code department and asked them where you can place signs. One thing you don't want to do is give a bad name for other hard working investors in your area.
Good luck with all your real estate investing.

Steve and Veronica,
I totally agree! I have had the Codes Dept and the Building Inspectors from a project immediately next door to one of my properties and they were severely upset and angry with the owner. Next thing I knew, we kicked it off, got to talking and believe me..........You DO NOT want to upset or wreak havoc on the Codes or Inspections Depts. Again, there are many other great and handy alternatives to actually attaching to physical city property!

When I put out bandit signs I use 24" stakes and staple my signs to them I try to put at busy intersections. I don't put them were there is landscaping.I put them out on friday and pick them up Sunday if they haven't been destroyed or taken. Good luck in your quest for success. Keith
I would say this opens up a can of worms for new ordinances in that town, besides that, it's really tacky. There was someone here in our town advertising granite countertops. They had a big wooden sign nailed to the stop sign. I feel they made a bad name for themselves disregarding the ordinances.
Anyone knows where to get blank yellow sign card? They look like they are made of carton cardboard. Anyone knows where to get these in quantities?
Steve
Thanks Steve & Veronica.
In response to the cardboard in quantity you can resource at smurfit or uline
