• North Las Vegas – Last sale of this home was for a price of $172,000. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and was valued at $214,000 in 2007. Only six years old and in very good condition, it’s listed now at $79,900.
• East English Village in Detroit – Sold back in 2008 for $49,900, this home is now listed for just $15,900. It’s in a well kept neighborhood, has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It does need a new furnace and kitchen remodel.
• Royal Palm Beach Florida – Built in 1984, this home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was last sold in 2007 for $218,000. It is listed now at $62,500.
• Lawrenceville Georgia – The Atlanta building and price boom took this town up with it, and now down as well. Last sold in November of 2006, it is now listed for $67,500 with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
• Park Meadow in Phoenix – Built in 2004 and sold then for $135,000, this home sold again in 2006 for $235,000. It has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, is well-maintained, and is now listed for $82,000.
• West Lawn in Chicago – In a hard hit area of Chicago, this home was valued at $257,000 in 2006 when the market was peaking. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, it sold in 2004 for $166,000, and is now listed for $64,900.
• Lancaster, CA – As one of the fastest growing communities in the Los Angeles market, Lancaster prices have been on a roller coaster ride. In mid-2007, this home was valued at $540,000, sold in 2006 for $379,000. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths and is now listed for $154,900.
Rental property investors are taking advantage of deals like this in most areas of the country.
