Predicting My Future

Predicting My Future

Ok Dg Family. I am creating this forum to post my predicted future. This will help me in many ways. It will help me to keep looking at what it is I want. It will help me to focus on getting there. It will also keep me accountable.

So here is what I am going to do. I am going to post my personal vision of what my life looks like in January 2013 and I will post my progress every two weeks from the day I post. Maybe this will inspire others to write down thier prediction and do the same either in private or share with us fellow DGers:)

Happy predicting!

with gratitude,

Makeba

Beautifully said Makeba!

this is very inspirational for all of us- I will be visiting this thread frequently; believe me, I have a vision of us being united in success and in spirit by 2013; maybe we'll even get to meet in person!

Wishing you the best year ever,
Val

I would love that!

Absolutely! I would love that.

I should be posting my vision later tonight. I am still working out all the details. I want it to be as specific as possible:)

I have put mine on paper

Very good idea and i will be following your journey. I have documented mine on paper and re-visits it everyday to ensure I am on track. It is projected on a monthly basis. I am expecting some great things this year. All the best to you and the rest of the DG crew.

Exposed

So Here we go:)

My prediction for 2013
It is now January 15th 2013 and I am sitting here smiling back to myself in reflection of everything that has happened over the past year. Here I am sitting my new home located in California where the schools are perfect for my children and the neighborhood is quite and family oriented. Its so nice to have neighbors that my kids can grow up with who’s families are as happy as we are in life.

Now that I think of it at the beginning of last year was when I did my first really big deal. At the end of January I closed on a deal that netted our family $10,000. This was the first domino in everything that came after.

I closed deal after deal making our total profits for the year just over $100,000 totaling our deals to 26. It was all thanks to my training, relationships, partnerships, and dedication. I never imagined how simple and easy it was going to be until now. Everything just flows. I have a system in place that is absolutely automatic.

With that first big deal I was able to take care of a lot of personal bills, we were able to get health insurance for the whole family and we were on our way to looking for a new place.

The confidence I have is staggering. I smile more each day than I have in so many years. I feel so peaceful and joyful at most things in life now. I know now that with each challenge there is always a solution.

I remember back in March how I scared the wits out of our realtor when I jumped up and down and laughed at our closing. That was when I closed 2 deals on the same day. She didn’t think I was going to hug her but boy oh boy did I. LOL She has enjoyed many lunches with me and my family since then. I have since then promised to keep my hugs to myself:) Smiling Even now I find it hard to contain myself. The joy I feel is outstanding.

In June I was able to finally have the wedding of my dreams. It was an event that was full of life, love, and Joy. I will always remember how wonderful it was and it was all thanks to Real Estate.

The people I have connected with and met over this year have been super amazing. The relationships I have built are ones that I see lasting a lifetime. I am especially grateful for my partnerships and friendships I have built along the way. I am trusting again and it feels so amazing. Like a huge weight is lifted from my back. I love the people I surround myself around and they in turn love me and my family.

My family is happy to have the freedom we have to travel, learn, discover, and grow. My son was so excited when we went scuba diving and saw the coral and all the beautiful fish. He didn’t want to come out of the water. That was a great trip that will be remembered for years to come.

We also have the pleasure of owning 10 rental homes and 2 duplexes. Who would have thought that I would have owned my own home let alone a total of 12 in the first year? What a great year it has been. I feel so relaxed, thankful, grateful, and at peace. I am filled with so much excitement to see how much further we will go in the coming year. I am so happy and grateful for all that I have achieved this past year and for all that we have given and received:) Thank you with all of my heart:)

Busy Day Today

Today I had 4 viewings and it is also the night I put out my signs. We started early around 7:30 am. By the time I got all the kids up and ready to go we didnt get to leave the house until 9:30 just in time for my scheduled 10am apt. It went really well and it is my hope that this will be my first deal of the year. It also went quicker than expected so to save me some time I called my second appointment and asked if we could see it earlier. It was a Yes:) Wooo Hoo!!! That was a God Send. My husband works overnight so we were planing on taking short 30 min naps in between appointments. Thanks to the reschedule we had more time.

Went to that appointment and found that I am so happy and grateful for the things I have and for being alive. The home was in a fire. The home owner barely made it out alive. After hearing the story and seeing the property it makes you reflect on life. I have seen fire damage before but nothing like this. They ripped the roof apart, all of the ceilings were on the floor carpet melted on the floor along with so many other things. The wood paneling was melted and it was so black inside that I couldn't see anything at all in the bathroom. It was such a shame because for the area it was a beautiful house. I really do hope that the home owners health gets better and I hope they are able to recover their losses. It looks like that one is a pass.

Third view was not an appointment but a quick fit in. We stopped really quick to feed and change the baby along with giving my daughter a potty break and a snack then we went on to the viewing. I had high hopes for this one. I knew the area really well and upon inspection I felt in my heart of hearts that this was a deal. Unfortunately my buyers did not LOL. Well it was a great lesson to say the least. Even if you think you know something, that's when you need to learn more. That is for sure. So live, learn and move on to the next.

I was able to do some quick emails and make some calls before the next appointment. The last appointment went well too! I will know more about it hopefully tomorrow. But so far it is looking on the positive side.

Finally made it back home just in time to cook dinner take some calls, return calls, do my spreadsheets and property flyers, and analyze the homes we viewed today. when that was finally done it was time to put out the signs.

Just got back home and we are all done with that:) WOOO HOOO!!!! I have to say thank you to my husband for being such an awesome supportive and sleep deprived man. Lets just say we both will be sleeping long and hard tomorrow if the kids permit LOL.

So to reflect, this busy day was the results of my actions for the week. I followed up with my leads, did lots of training, made lots of calls and so much more. My goal was to have 5 by today. I did not make my goal but I am still holding the goal until I reach it. It is set for next week. Wish me luck and the best. I will update again next week:)

Here is to Predicting our future.

always with gratitude,

Makeba

Update

So My goal was by the end of January to have 10k:) I think I am pretty darn close to that goal. I have 3 contracts submitted. and addition 2 deals being looked at on wednesday. I also got the greatest news today. This site is amazing, the people here are truely inspiring, loving, and down right AWESOME!!!!!

I found out some info on commercial properties this week and I am looking more into it. I will be heading down that road soon.

Over all this has been and amazing week.

My little gold nuggets for this week:

1. Estimating rehab costs. The more you do and investigate pricing the better you will get at it. It was suggested to me to go to lowes. they have not only the price of materials but the price of install too! This is a great start:) Also once you get a couple of contractor bids you will get to know the costs as well.

2. BUSY STREET BIG X!!!!! I had a list of 27 properties to view and a lot of them were on busy streets. My recomendation is to google map them first and look to see if they are busy streets before driving by or viewing. Smiling

3. Just do what you learned. Dont be afraid. Seriously you will mess up no matter what you do. But as you go you will get better and better. Your confidence will grow and soon you will be an expert:) GO OUT THERE AND DO IT:)

This week has been amazing! I picked up a total of 4 new buyers and we analyzed over 50 deals LOL whew. It truely is a numbers game but the more I do the better I get at sorting the trash from the CHACHING!!!!!

Have a great Week everyone:)

Quick note: Thank you so much for everything I have learned over this past week, thank you for all of my connections, and thank you for all the good that has come my way:)
