Last Saturday was my Birthday, and. coincidentially, I received in the mail the Edge 10 DVD's!!! To me that was a sign to start taking action, so here I am, taking my first step, starting my journal...
I've been watching the videos and reading and re-reading DG books (you shouldn't read them only once); also watching the webinars, which help me get motivated to start taking action. (I can get involved in reading and reading and not taking action-I think it's fear of failure?) It all seems a bit overwhelming, but I know that if I put my heart into it, I can overcome my fears.
I've been reading many of the journals and posts here, and needless to say-they are so inspiring and very helpful-every one of them. Hopefully one day my journals will help inspire someone too.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I took a little time away from the computer. Had spring fever and decided to get out and take advantage of the nice weather. Thanks for the encouragement. Having a journal seems to keep me dedicated to my business. Hope you are having success as well!

Tomorrow I have plumber coming over to start replacing, moving, canceling pipelines; Friday, electrician's turn... Furnace guy, waiting for his estimate which reminds me that I need to contact him to get him movin'...
All I can say is that this mayor renovation is exhilarating! I'm exhausted, having to be at work at 6:30am; then go to property at 3:30pm to check on progress, meet with workers, etc.... last night I didn't get home until after 9:00pm... yep, I was at Home Depot until 9pm buying materials... found out that Home Depot is open until 10pm! Did anyone know that?! wow!

I'm currently rehabbing the exterior of the house I purchased here in Cali back in February/March,(before the rainy season starts!) so that's keeping me busy here after working hours...
My properties in Ohio are doing well; I'm still looking for an A player Property Management
I am so blessed for everything that I've achieved so far, and I am so grateful for everything that is coming my way!

I haven't written in my journal since.... November 2014?!
I haven't stopped doing rei... just no time to write about it!
My son (and I) just closed on another property here in bay area last week! So excited, this is my son's first home! He's been saving for the down payment for a year, and building his credit to an almost 800 score so he was able to qualify for the loan by himself!
We finished demo last week, completely gutted the house... starting painting this week; ordered kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, etc.
The plan is to finish rehab by end of September, and keep the property for two years as his primary residence; then sell, and repeat... if you keep your primary residence for two years, you don't pay taxes on equity made on property up to $250K for single person...

Yes, I started like many people have... it's not easy to do when you have a fulltime job, but it's doable, and I can atest to that!
It just takes perseverance, discipline, and hard work
