OfflineHello everyone my Name is Steven Behrens. I'm new to Deans's Family I just really just got started with the family.just got done with first trainning weekend. and man I'm I on brain overload. But thats ok for I got my mentors to turn to. what i really want to do with this first post and to let you know me a little. so here it is.
I'm 54yr old male that has nothing to show for his life so far. but a lot of scars. I have 13.6 years in the miltary beteewn the army and guards. I have over 30yrs of Firefighter/EMS service. I have a 26yr old son Jeremy. that i don't know. I did not get to see him as a kid that much. For i was in that rat race of life working and working just to make ends meet.
In 1993 I started to get sick went to doctors and no one could tell me why ran test and found nothing was told its just a cold are the flu. then in 2007 I was told they found Cancer so I went throught treatment. Let me tell you chemo SUCKS. in 2013 they wwent in and took part of my lung that the cancer was in and Ive been cancer free now for 3 yrs.
So I like most others have lots of bills thinking of filing charpet 7. But the one thing i have to thank my father for is for teaching me not to give up. speaking of my father it was is death that made me see what i wanted as my goal and that is the freedom to be able to help my family. when it is needed and with out worring where i was going to get what they needed.
so any way i will be posting here when i get things done for your all part of my family now and i hope this in somewhy helps someone
It helped me just to let you know I've been sitting on the fence done some research made phone calls but no reults yet and I'm not giving up. However the point of my respnse is your post inspired me I lost my father last November 8th your words will make me push further with my father's inspiration behind it ( he is never out of my thoughts) Thank you All the best Rich

well first of all i want you all to know that by using what i learned at trainning i was able to go out and in one day pull together the first part of my payment for trainning. now all i need is to find the rest of it. i took a big jump and broke one of the rules my dad taught me and thats not doing something till you have the money for it. but i know after finding the funds i have that i will make my goal some how. keep pluging a long and thank you all for your comments
