Dean's teleconference has been on my mind all afternoon. I cooked an early supper, practicly force-feed my family so I'd be free in time. Closed myself in my office and dialed in a little early, anxiously waiting, listening to on-hold music. At 8:00 (central time) I began to worry. Nothing was happening - the music continued - no Dean - no anyone. Something must be wrong. I hung up and dialed one of the alternate numbers. More music, but this time a woman's voice told me "You are the first party on this call." I'm thinking, 'Ya gotta be kidding - I've never been first for anything in my life.' Honest to pete, folks, it still didn't dawn on me. I listen for a few more minutes before I hung up again. Was very disappointed. Came straight to the DG website thinking the call had been cancelled or rescheduled for some reason. Duh! As I was logging in, an old lightbulb in the dim reccess of my brain flickered a few times and finally came on!!!
I was only 24 hours early for the call!!
Darn - the way my brain works, I'll probably forget it and miss the call tomorrow.

It's like waiting in line to be the first to get the latest gadget at the store or the best concert tickets! By the way, did you serve pasta with Dean's sauce for dinner?
It's terrific that you are fired up and ready to go for more of what Dean has to say; I'll join you on that call tomorrow! Until then, put a post-it note on the refrigerator and bathroom mirror!
Thanks for sharing this moment - glad I'm not the only one that has done that before.

Nancy - no pasta for us tonight, but I am looking forward to making that sauce this weekend. And, I've put post-it notes all over the house, so maybe I'll be on that call tomorrow night. Fingers crossed.
Erik - sorry for causing a panic! And, thanks for the PM.
