2011 edge journey

On the runway before we took off then 5hrs in the air.finally landed in phoenix:)) took a van to clarion in scottsdale because I did not book the fire sky as soon as I knew when the edge was....spool we need to stay here tonight and tomorrow then the firesky friday and sat then back to the clarion sun night.just a tip .....book as soon as you can when dean has an event because rooms fill FAST!! Going to see what arizona has to offer for fun for justin and tiff tomorrow!!! So off to sleep and will continue tomorrow.
1am here in phoenix and 4am est standard at home.

Its great you have childcare for the kids back home!

I've been packing for 3 days as well. My hubby wanted me to somehow perform a miracle and try to get all 6 (we have to bring the 4 kids) of our clothes into 2 tiny bags. The babysitter isn't even set in stone yet; had to rearrange that; Dean's nanny's were going to be watching them, then that changed a couple weeks before the event.

We have a 5 hour ride there tomorrow. I already have several homes lined up in PHX to go look at. I booked a home to stay in about 10 minutes from the hotel. (Kids and hotels don't mix. ) Can't wait to meet you and everyone else! Don't forget the business cards!

Have a Merlot for me while you are bsing with everyone at the fire pits. Make sure you say hi to the gang for me and Jeremy. Keep Randy away from his greasy food at Randy's place.
Meeting with a private money lender at 10am today. He likes our idea on the student housing project in Herkimer, so if it goes, we will own 1/2 of a block of 3 to 4 bdroom houses for student housing at HCCC. Way too much on my plate now with that and my daughters wedding in 2 weeks or we would have been there. Have fun you crazy Frenchman!!!!!!!

What a wonderful idea to keep a journal for EDGE 2011. It was an amazing trip for us last year and wish we had a journal. Best wishes to you.

Wow you have your hands full...but when you look back and realize you did all this withyour family you will not be able to rid your smile.after all family is why we do this.....to spend more time with them!!!.you are making things happen no matter what!! WE got up at around 6am and went to the hot tub....karen,I,justin and tiff.What a beautiful morning!!!!! It was much hotter last yr and I am sooooo happy it is a little cooler.EXCIITED for my boy to experience the edge and get to meet some wonderful people.karen and tiff are anxiously awaiting soaking up the arizona sun by the pool...............

Well, not the hotel, but I'm here in AZ 8 minutes from the hotel.

My husband just got done saying how disorganized I am because I printed up the booking confirmation instead of the instruction to get into the house and had to turn on the computer to access the info. I really think its the excitement, has us all flustered!

PS, It was 95 degrees when I got here at 5pm!

Ok yesterday we rented a car.........only cause my boy wanted to drive a 2011 Camero convertible........and we drove arizona most of the day....what an awesome day ...it was sunny and hot........ate lunch then drove to mall to check it out.Later in afternoon we met my aunt and uncle who live in phoenix for supper at the rustlers roost in phoenix........some may remember this as I believe they went there 1 or 2 yrs ago.WELL it is a country western steakhouse with a live country band playing on stage while you eat.It even has a slide for the kids....and last yr we went down it face first!!!!!! Anyway we had a great dinner and drove back to scottsdale to the fabulous FIRESKY and met up and talked by the fire with randy and lousia and husband and little zach!!!!!! So an awesome day and night.
This morning justin and tiff arises early....4.30 am to head out for a hot air balloon ride over the arizona desert!!!!Karen and I got up shortly at 5.30 and went for a walk to try and find randys diner....welllllllll we walked 3 miles and still did not see it spool we turned around and went back to get the car.THAT WAS 6 MILES AND NOW I have blisters on my toes spool I was spool looking forward to breakfast then the FIRESKY HOT TUB!!!! Looking like a great day and it is just beginning as the meet and greet is getting closer! !!!!!!!

I checked and the meet and greet is from 6-8PM. I will have my kiddos and they're going to go swimming.

Sorry I haven't updated...but networking with some outstanding edge event people.last night was meet and greet and we talked with ALOT of people.what an amazing time to get to know everyone and talk rei.will update on we r learning today in a few he's! !!!AWESOME EVENT!!!!!

In posting on all of the amazing exciting knowledge we r gaining here.there is SOOOOOOOOO MUCH to tell you that I don't know where to begin.I AM networking and talking to as many people as I can so I have limited time to post but here is a recap of the day.first speaker coach dawn arming....hope I spelled that right .....gave us some inspiring tips and MANY MANY WAYS mobile homes make an AWESOME investment!!!! She dispelled many myths about the depreciation of them and PROVED how valuable an investment they. Are. She showed us how she does things so we can model her.I know this to be right on because I have invested in a few and made some great profit.I can go into more detail when I get home tobthe computer because I took MASSIVE notes.WE HEARD FROM. Ali on how he has taken what dean teaches and done monster deals and how he uses cap rate and the how you use ROI...RETURN ON INVESTMENT. To direct your buying habit......we heard from THE ROCK STAR OF REAL ESTATE....MATT LARSON.....who buy the way shared new and exciting ways we can meek um to make our focus make a deal THIS WEEK.AS I said I took MANY ANOTES AND WILL SHARE DETAILS ON WHAT YOU MISSED SO YOU can be here with us and gain the knowledge we are so gratefully gaining!!!

For sure mike...just got in from an AMAZING day with the hundreds of dt family members!!! I am going back out to sit under stars and fire torches with all that is sitting around the fire spreading knowledge and brainstorming about the last two days.also just to let you know every night we gathered for supper to a different place and shared eschew experience with different deals and everything under the sun about real estate.this is networking at its best!!!!!! The speakers were great again today....although I haven't given u all that we got I will touch on a few speakers.
Greg murphy .....taught us to target buy and hold buyers as these r your repeat buyers.USE BANDIT SIGNs!!! ....track your marketing.......4WAYS TO FIND BUYERS..1-bandit signs..2-auctions. 3 internet ads. 4 NETWORKING

MATT LARSON taught us how to build a buyers list............and LEARN HOW TO NEGOTIATE AND create deals.Give them a house cheaper thananyone else!!!!!!!! be a good LISTENER!!!! ...GET WHAT YOUR BUYERS WANT. . BUILD A TEAM......FIND BUYERS........FIND DEALS...........When having a realtor search the mod .....you want a list of as is ..price reduced.........needs work......vacant............this is only the surface of what we got but I will add more later ....I need to get back to the firepit as I am missing valuable tips even after all the main meat and potatoes have been handed out!!! Do NOT MISS NEXT YR.....START PLANNING NOW!!!!!!!
