Help Lex get to Gain The Edge 2011 by helping him make his first deal!

I was in your shoes about this time at last years Edge Event. Here is what I did. I took the classes in the success academy, I read Indiana Joe's book on making money with Craigs list and Ebay that gave me the knowledge to sell stuff to make money to pay for the Edge event this year. Also I used the Knowledge given from this site, the Edge 2010 DVDs and success academy to buy a house for 15k and refi it to get back 45k minus the repair cost.

So you are in the right place to get all of the knowledge you need to make it to the Edge if not this year than next year after you do some deals. I recomend buying the Edge DVDs they will help you with the how to make it in REI.

I have no idea where you stand financially. The Success Academy has helped many of the people here tremendously. For me, it was not in the cards. I did not have the money to do it. If that is your situation, never fear!!!

Read all of Dean's books. Maybe even several times. Read, read, read on this site. Study, study. Decide which technique you want to concentrate on first. (If you try to do everything, chances of succeeding will be much lower) Get to really, really know how to do the technique you choose.

Ask questions. Participate in the threads, even if just to say "What a good idea." That way we get to know you and know you are on here learning and trying.

I can tell from your writing that you are intelligent and literate. That is a definite plus!

This will be frustrating and it will be difficult. But I think you are probably a pretty tough guy if you make up your mind to be. If you decide this is for you, then we will be here for you.

There are some excellent people on here from your area. Let them see you here and that you are motivated. Let them see that you are willing to intern for them for free to learn. Let them see that you will do what it takes and you never know, they may step up and offer to help you learn.

You are right Steve, I can dig that. I'm using the yellow pad like Dean for organizing my moves and a little Black N' Red book to write down things like:
Documenting my day, Taking notes on Dean's Vlogs and writing down things you and others tell me to do. My goal is to become successful and knowledgeable enough to help others do RE and become more aware of their human potential. In order to do that I have to become an example like Dean, you and some others on this site. Thank you so much for your help and thank you for being kind enough to help me accomplish this.
