Time management and Organization

Time management and Organization

Hello DG family.

We have closed deal #2 and I am now finding my self a little overwhelmed. I have so many things on my plate I am finding that it is hard to keep up with any one thing. I wanted to know for the advanced investors here, do you have suggestions on organization, planning, and so forth.

Between phone calls, viewings, appointments, marketing, research, lenders, inspections, contracts, emails and all the other information that is passed my way, along with networking. How do you manage to keep at all avenues? How do you keep your head together LOL? How do you keep up with all of it and know whats going on LOL. I have my paper work, I have spread sheets, I have SFL, and I have a but ton of info. How do you put it all together to flow nicely? LOL

any suggestions would help:)

First make a list of all the

First make a list of all the things that have to be done, most important first.

Then take a daily planner, start marking in things to do, give a hour to each. And make sure you go to each task at the top of the hour weather your done with the previous one or not.

Do this for a few days, then reallocate the time to what requires more or less, and before you know it you will have spare time to catch up on other things.

And Congratulations on your deal.

Jim Kendrick

Thanks

Thank you so much Jim, I will make a list tonight and try this tomorrow. That is a wonderful Idea.

I am also finding it hard to determine which tasks are more important than others. I also feel that I am neglecting my buyers list by looking at all these homes and spending time on the phone with other wholesalers. I will have to really consider the order of priority. Also I have partnered up with another DG member on something that I think is great and I dont want to miss out on that as well. Which requires more time.

You know its so funny how I had all the time in the world and now I cant seem to find time for my self other than late at night when I read the board then go to bed LOL.

Time Management and Organization

Makeba,
Congrats!! Welcome to the DG family.

If you get organized from the start, you can keep it that way. So many ppl just jump in and then wonder where that paper is they need to find and end with alot of clutter. I use my computer, but, you can start with simple file cabinet and folders.
Time Management: Now this one is one NOBODY wants to accept. CHANGE. I changed my schedule up alittle here, alittle there and it will help big time. I wake at 0430. Get on computer-coffee-answer/send emails and confirm appts-exercise-back on computer-breakfast-appts- answer calls to qualify the buyers/sellers/properties-go to appts-get back btween 2-4pm-follow up on leads-ME TIME- dinner- wife time- back on computer-bed.

If you don't schedule it and do it, it won't get done.

Makeba

I live by my day planner, I would never keep or remember appointments and things to do. I always prioritize what I do into three categories.
1. High priority, doing this will make me money and must be done..
2. Medium priority, this needs to be done and I will get it done today.
3. Nothing bad will happen if I don't do this today or I can delegate this to some one else on my team or re schedule.
By categories I put the priority number next to the task. Example: go to closing. 1 Enter info into SFL 2 Appointment with Seller 1
I then organize my daily schedule and do the hardest things first. I spent 15 minutes at night planning the next day and about 15 minutes in the morning finalizing.

Virtual assistants are a cool thing and I am going to check into how I can use one. I understand you can get one for around $3.00 an hour!!

Add people to your team that you can pay when a deal closes!

Make sure you are doing those PFs (just kidding)

Go Get Em You Guys!!
